Hello Everyone! I am trying to plan my first Disney trip. I have been to the parks before (as a child) but not in about 20 years or so.

Here's what we are thinking-

We want to visit during the Food and Wine Festival. I was thinking about buying a three day Florida resident ticket and possibly adding on the water park option. Where is the best place to buy tickets? I read Undercover Tourist...is that correct?

We will be staying at Fort Wilderness Campground, if there is availability. Otherwise, we will not be going.

So, is the process to book our stay at FW and then purchase tickets from UT (or somewhere else)? If we do that, how do we get the Magic Bands since we didn't buy tickets directly through Disney? Can you just add them to our booking online or something?

This is our first trip to Disney and I know next to nothing about it other than what I've read in the last hour or so. We've not ever really been interested in going (too hot, long lines, etc) but we are soon to be moving from Florida and decided that we should do the Food and Wine Festival before we leave. We really like water parks.

Undercover Tourist doesn't sell Florida resident tickets because those are already discounted. (I just checked, and a 3-day Florida resident pass is $100 less than a non-Florida resident 3-day ticket.) And getting Magic Bands has nothing to do with where you purchase your tickets; you get them with an onsite reservation, which you'll have.

Hello!
How wonderful that you want to visit Disney before you leave Florida :)
First, I have not ever tried Undercover Tourist, so I am not sure about that aspect of your question. But the length of stay tickets are pretty good and you can add water parks to them too. Then link the entire reservation to your My Disney Experience app and you are ready to go.

I have stayed in the Cabins at FW and we LOVED that. Lots of space and very reasonable rates, comfortable and really fun!

The Food and WIne Festival happens at the end of September with additional dates being added this year from last year. If you like musical acts then you will like the Eat to the Beat series of musicians who appear at EPCOT during the Festival.
Here is a link to the list of the entertainers and the days they are scheduled to appear. :)
