HELP For CSI's Nick and Sara!!!

Well....

According to this article from CNN Entertainment Eads was fired for not showing up for work since he wanted more money.

Frankly, I am very, very tired of celebrities and athletes deciding they are not going to honor contracts that they willingly signed. What would happen to a regular person if s/he didn't show up for work because s/he wanted more money? They would be on the street in a minute. These people earn more money in a year than 99.5% (I am using hyperbole for exaggeration, I don't know the actual %) and yet they kick and scream and want more. Tough, honor your contract and then negotiate for more in the next one.

JMHO

I have to agree with mrsv98 -- as much as I liked the characters, I would be hard pressed to sign a petition trying to get an employer to hire back someone who stopped showing up because they didn't think they were paid enough. That's a sure fire way to get fired and I have to applaud CBS for doing it.

It'll kill the show, however, but that' ok, since it probably would have been done after this next season anyways, since William Peterson most likely won't do more than one more season. :)

::yes::

As much as I enjoy this show, and these characters, I totally agree with this! I'm just so sick of this more, more, more mentality!

It seems to be fairly confusing according to this article from E! Online There was a series of letters asking if the actors, including Fox, were going to show up for work, and Fox missed the deadline to respond (according to CBS) which gives the production company grounds for dismissal.

To me it comes down to the fact that even the supporting players are earning $100,000 per epiosde, over a season, that is upwards of $2,000,000 per season. Given that a taping schedule runs between 6 and 8 months, leaving time for other projects, that is a good salary by any standard.

I agree with the majority here. A contract is a contract. Now that it is the top rated series, you want more money. No one really knew you before you started here and now your not happy with what you have.

I have to agree with most of the posters here. You signed a contract, now honor it.

I also do not see it as the end of the show. Look at NYPD Blue. Dennis Franz is the only remaining original cast member and it's still going strong. Sometimes new characters bring new energy.
