Hello all! Well, my fiance and I have decided to go to Disney World during the November/December value season, this year, for ten days. Not a hard decision to make. What has been a tough decision is deciding on where to stay. I have been reading the DISboards for the past couple months and we started with POR, contemplated CR and CSR, thought about POFQ, and now WL seems like a good choice for the holiday season decorations and transportation.

I have been to WDW several times (though it's been a while, over ten years), however this will be the first time for my fiance. What I remember the most is how easy it was to forget about the rest of the world for a while and be immersed in the magic of WDW. I really want this to be a special experience for us. I'm also keeping in mind that WDW is staffed by human beings.

Transportation and Holiday theming are the top concerns. How does the "value season" affect transportation? i.e. does Disney run fewer buses because they expect fewer people? I've read that Disney has started using GPS on their buses, is that helping the situation? Which resort has the best Christmas decorations? Please let me know your opinions on which resort to stay at. Thank you.

 Welcome to the DIS!

Are you planning for this year, 2007, or a future holiday season? If this year you will find slim choices for resorts now - so in a way, it will make your decision easier! I was on the phone with CRO today for very early Decemeber and practically nothing was left to choose from. It is late to be making Decemeber reservations, and 10 days might be difficult, but keep checking - using a top Disney Specialist Travel Agent could be very helpful. If you like, PM - I could recommend someone who is outstanding.

I am sure it will all work out perfectly! If planning for next year, then you have lots of time to decide which resort you'd like to stay:)

Although I am not usually a fan of WL the decorations there are beautiful - the fireplace in the lobby, the gorgeous lobby tree - but this also means it is possibly the most popular for the holidays!

Since the holiday season is one of the busiest (and Disney has holiday season now 12/20 - 12/31), so no worries about transportation - everything will be keeping up with the crowds :)

I have been during some very slow seasons and buses/monorails were fine.

Remember the decorations at the resorts will go along with the Resort Theme - you can finds photos here: http://allearsnet.com/acc/faq_hot.htm

You will for sure have an absolutely wonderful visit!!:santa:
