We are taking my step sons 2 @ 9 and my MIL going with.. I'm going crazy trying to find out which character breakfast t or dinner to go to (we are talking boys) I think Mickeys tropical Luau would be the bomb.... I'm thrilled being a CA native and always wanting to see the "world" theses are active boys and we will be staying at the shades of green 8/9-8/14any advice will be loved Thank you :confused: &:o

I have 3 active boys and chef mickey's is their favorite. It is a very lively and interactive atmosphere. My boys have no interest in princesses so that elimates quite a few. I would also suggest letting them do the pirate cruise out of the GF. My boys loved it. They go without parents on a treasure hunt. They each get a Mickey pirate hat, bag lunch and bag of loot (after they find the treasure of course). Check it out.

We took our two sons age 5 and 8 to Chef Mickey's for supper the first night of our vacation. It was a real hit, very lively and not a princess in site. It really got us all in the Disney mood and even the eldest was excited bout collecting autographs
Have fun!::yes::

I voted for Chef Mickey's bkfst! I have a ds(7) that celebrated his 7th birthday at Chef Mickeys in Feb.(Dinner) Dinner is okay, but we really prefer bkfst! Ds requests Chef Mickeys every trip! But, we do also enjoy CP and LTT!

We did Chef Mickey, Pooh and Cinderella's table with DS9 and DD3. DS was a good sport at all but enjoyed the atmosphere and activity of Chef Mickey's best. Plus afterwards we explored the Contemporary and game room - right up his alley. sidenote - One thing that he loved were the pressed penny machines - the cheapest souvenir going!

Another vote for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's and breakfast at the Crystal Palace are my two favorite character meals, so I wouldn't hesitate to make reservations for either of those.

Have a great vacation!

I voted for breakfast at Chef Mickey's. It's one of our favorites. As is dinner there. Have you considered Donald's Breakfastasuarus? It's in AK. Donald is there. We really enjoyed it last summer. We got a latish seating and didn't have to eat lunch.

If you are in the mood for something a little more sedate, try Garden Grill. Mickey is there also, but it is much quieter. THe food is quite good.

Thanks to everyone..Looks like we are going to do the chef Mickey breakfast and the pirate cruse don’t know if I can keep it a secret from they boys much longer..:Pinkbounc pirate: :jumping2:

Sounds like a solid plan, I know that it will go over well with my family. Have fun and good luck keeping it from your boys, I have never been successful with that. They enjoy helping me plan so it all works out. We currently have a paper chain with 92 links draped around my living room. lol.
