I'm here at my sisters - in Lady Lake - about an hour northwest of Orlando.. I'm due to take the last flight out tomorrow night from Orlando - headed to Albany, New York - and I can't print out my boarding pass tonight because my sisters printer is broke.. :(

According to SW web site, I can't get a boarding pass in person until 4 hours prior to my flight. I've heard that the last flight out is always overbooked and I'm afraid I'll end up with a "C" pass and won't be able to board the plane..

No one around here stays up till midnight (it's a 55+ RV resort) so there's no hopes of using someone elses computer and according to the SW sight they won't accept a faxed boarding pass either..

Am I going to end up being bumped? Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks!

You can check in online but don't print your boarding pass and then print your boarding pass when you get to the airport tomorrow. I do it on the return trip everytime we travel and it has never been a problem.

Just go ahead and check in online. You can have them print the boarding pass at the airport for you.

C.Ann I wouldnt sweat it

Your a flyer of 1- not 3-4. They're will be plently of open single seats even if you are a "C"...

Plus- your going to Albany...you flight to BWI might be "full" but from BWI to Albany- it'll be just about empty.

Hope you had a great time

Thanks all! My "crisis" was averted - LOL.. A very nice woman here in the RV resort allowed me to use her computer and printer so I was able to go ahead and print out my boarding pass this morning.. Got an "A", so I should be all set if I'm there 2 hours ahead of time.. :)

Gosh - I didn't even go to Disney and I still don't want to leave Florida!! So much to see and do - and of course the weather is a BIG factor - in the 20's at home and 75 degrees here right now..

Well - hopefully I can come back again next winter and this time I won't be nervous about flying alone.. Wasn't bad at all.. :)

Thanks again!

Welcome home ot 8" on snow..starting late tonight. We leave in the morning for FL. So far we have flown SW ove a dozen times on the late flight and it has never been overbooked (are you going through WA? We always fly direct..so maybe that is the difference). Remember..especially this week, people want to get to Florida, not leave it.
In the future, just so you know, once you go on line with SW and get your boarding pass, you can not print it out in Orlando..but no problem, they will print it for you at the desk when you give them your luggage. Have a nice flight.

Well, that is ALMOST true. The Daytona 500 is today, so there are going to be a number of people that need to get home this week. Also, a number of people are in for the Presidents' Day weekend and, they, too are needing to get back home.

This week a LOT of folks are heading OUT of FL, whether they want to or not.

How do you print the boarding passes at the airport? Do you just use the kiosk or get it printed when checking your bags? It's a great tip but I want to make sure I don't mess it up.

I did online check-in for Air Tran in December on my laptop and was able to get them printed by the curbside check skycap. Last week I did on-line check-in for Northwest and printed it at the kiosk.

You can not print them at the Kiosk for SW if you already went on line. You would get them from curbside checkin, or desk checkin.

I guess I assumed most people would stay over until tomorrow if they were there for the weekend for the holiday..but you may be right. I assume C.Ann took the direct flight, and we'll know soon enough how it went! SW still showed available seats for tonight. Unlike for tomorrow..ugh, every seat is taken.
