We haven't been to Disneyland in about 5 years, and never in the busy summer months! However it is my birthday on July 5, so I figure I must go!

1. How does the Fantasmic Dessert thing work? It gets you reserved seating for Fantasmic and you get dessert? Is it expensive? Worth it?

2. How does the World Of Color dinner reservation thing work? You eat a meal then get a voucher to get in for better seating at WOC?

3. What are WOC fastpasses? They give you preferred seating?

4. Just how busy will it be on July 5? Is it best to avoid the 4th altogether?

5. On the 4th, do they do the regular fireworks show and a special 4th one, or just the special one?

6. Do you get any other perks on your birthday besides a pin? lol

7. Disneyland doesn't have the magic bands yet right? And the fastpasses are the same as they were 5 years ago?

Thanks!

For many of your questions you will find answers in the stickys here at the top of the DLR thread.

Question 1)
The Fanstasmic Super thread is a great source of information and tips, including photos of what to expect and all the info about the dessert seating:

"Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland"
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2671983

Questions 2 & 3)
World Of Color Superthread should help with all your WoC questions and is super helpful:

Question 7)
No Magic Bands at DLR.
Fastpass:
Fastpass times are now strickly enforced as of about 2 years ago, but other than CM's enforcing the return times printed they are pretty much the same.

Check out this article for a list of strategies and which FP's are connected and which are not:

Hopefully others can address your July 4th questions. I have heard it is very busy then, but have not experienced it personally.

On you birthday if you wear your "Happy Birthday" pin you will often get special perks such as CM's seeing the pin and wishing you a Happy Birthday... and sometimes even a free dessert here and there when dining... but not always to be expected, just a fun suprise.

Hello fellow Diser - You are invited to join the July 2014 thread. Hopefully your question can be answered by DLR regulars and the available Dis Stickys.
