Help! First trip back after several years…what do I need to know?

While we still vacation in Orlando every year, it has been several years since we have done the Disney parks. Kids are all grown so now we are traveling as adults. Next trip is February and we are staying offsite.

Can you guys tell me what is different now that I NEED to know?

Here is what I do know…

Need Park Reservations
Park Hopping isn’t available till 2pm
No fast passes

Anything else important? What if we are there and weather is bad one day? Can we change our reservation to the next day etc?

What else am I missing?

Some dining is still closed.
Some attractions (mainly shows) are still closed.
Some resorts are still closed.

If you choose not to go to a park on a day you have a reservation for, you can cancel your reservation. You will not lose a day on your ticket if you don't go but it's kind to cancel your reservation to allow another guest to pick it up.

You may cancel a park reservation up to the day of the reservation and book for another park based on availability. If you cancel a reservation and cannot find availability at another park, picking up your cancelled reservation is not guaranteed.

If you wish to park hop you must first tap into the park you have a reservation for regardless of what time of day it is.

I would recommend looking on the main Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board for relevant threads:

- Everything Park Hopping
- Everything Rope Drop

If you wish to ride Rise of the Resistance, you will need to have a park reservation for DHS and get a Boarding Group the day of your reservation. I HIGHLY recommend reading:
