Hi, i sure hope you can help me - you all seem very knowledgeable. I am booking DLP from 2nd june for 4 nights. we want to drive there and go across in the tunnel. can anyone help on the following:

Best Hotel - we would like a pool and somewhere safe and close for the car
We have a 4 and 2 year old

Does anyone know any good deals

Any hints tips advice would be really welcome as i have been trawling the sites this evening looking to book and have got so confused with offers and things.

Thanks again

If you want a Disney hotel, then the Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay, New York and Disneyland Hotels all have pools, as well as car parks for the hotel.

There's also the Davy Crockett Ranch whee you stay in a cabin offsite (it's still a Disney property though so you get the added perks of early entry etc) and there is a parking space by the cabin for the car.

Alternatively, the Explorers or the Vienna Magic Circus (I believe that's what the Holiday Inn is now called) both have pools and I suspect also have their own car parks as well, although you will not get the same early entry perk that you get with staying at a Disney Hotel.

Personally, I would look at the Sequoia Lodge - it's the cheapest of the Disney "hotels" that have a pool (excluding the Davy Crockett), it's close enough to the Village to be able to walk there easily and has a nice pool for children if I remember correctly (some of the other hotels have smaller, more adult pools).

In terms of deals, if you can book today, then you might still manage to find some dates with 40% off if you look on the official Disneyland Paris website. I'm not sure what other deals they have at the moment, but they usually have some kind of deal available.

The first two times that we went, we stayed at DCR - and with two young children. To be honest we rather liked being off-site, even if only by a mile, and it was still a Disney hotel so plenty of characters, etc. On the other hand the pool could be a wee bit cold and if you'd had a long day the drive back might not be your cup of tea.

On balance, I think I'd recommend it with a young family because there's a bit more space for them in the cabin. But now ours are a bit older, and we're going for a shorter trip, we're trying one of the on-site Disney hotels.
