help finding brown bath towels

My ds leaves for basic training in a few weeks and needs brown bath towels and wash clothes. Sounds much easier than it is. We have looked everywhere for brown and not having any luck. We have found light brown but I am not sure how dark they need to be. Does anyone know how dark they need to be and if they need to be very dark, where do you find them. The light browns seem to be the only colors we have found at the usual places. Thanks!

Target/Walmart have a nice selection of basic brown towels.

We bought some light brown ones at Wal-mart the other day, but I am not sure if they are dark enough, they only had kind of a sand color. (am I putting too much thought in this??) LOL thanks for the reply!!

DH still has some from Basic....I don't ever remember buying them...doesn't Uncle Sam provide everything for him??


Anyways.....the color of those we still have kicking around here is sort of a milk chocolate color....check Penneys and Sears too!

Have you checked to see if a military surplus store may have something? If not I would go with JC Penney

Royal Velvet makes 2 shades of brown towels and they're available at penney's store or Marshall Field's.

Or you could just buy white and keep reusing them without washing....

Thanks for all the suggestions, he only needs 2 so I guess its just to get him through the first week, I had missed the coffee ones at pennys, I will go back and re check, and ask for coffee on my lunch hour today (If they aren't in stock, I still have time to order) Thanks again for all of your help!
