If you're looking to help DS, then tell him that on (1) product means he needs to multiply, on (2) difference means he needs to subtract, and on (4) quotient means he needs to divide.

For that crazy number---it is only divisible by 89 & 661 gonna need more than (6) 7s.

1) If the answer to number 1 is supposed to be 598,829 then using 6 7s I get:
77 * 7777 = 598,829

3) 7777 / 77 = 101

I really think you are right with this one. I am thinking there is a typo on this worksheet. DS will to the teacher tomorrow!

I agree. #1 has to be wrong. If 58,829 is the product of 7's then it has to be evenly divisible by 7 and it isn't.
