HELP!! Feb 2012 Insight needed

Hello!
We are planning our first cruise ever in Feb 2012. We leave on the 11th to be exact...well, we thought we would go to WDW for 2 or 3 days prior to the cruise to set the tone. We are celebrating my DS's graduation and our 25th Anniversary. We were so excited about the possibility of FD during this time, hoping to make it affordable, especially since it was released in 2011 for those dates.

Now FD has been released and our week isn't included. If President's week is so crazy and crowded I don't understand how FD would cover the week prior and up to Sat., Feb 18th. You know most folks will check in on that Sat or Sun and those checking in on Sat would be eligible fro FD President's week.

Any ideas on why FD isn't available the week of the 4th - 11th? Someone said Pop Warner but I looked at those dates and it seems that happens in Dec. Do you think a different discount may be released? I would love some advice. I guess I will just continue to wait and see....

We are in the same boat as you....literally we leave on Magic 2/11 and are staying at Pop Century 2/8-11 and was so bummed when we saw FD dates. I even stayed up till 1am trying to figure out a way to move our trip to dates that are included. I am very curious to see if there will be room discounts till then we are sad

We may just do one day at one park and hang out by the pool and DTD if we don't get another deal. Do you have any ideas as to why our week was excluded? It just seems odd...

I asked more or less the same question on another thread and there was only one response, and it was something about it being spring break (or some vacation) for New England schools .

I have no clue why our week is excluded but looking on the bright side at least now we don't feel like we have to go back to the hotel to eat and we really only wanted to do 1 day at Magic Kingdom...2 days is a bit much for my crowd hating husband....I am trying to convince myself it is not that much of a bummer, can you tell

I would like to know also! We were planning to arrive on Feb 5th for the week and now we have to change our dates I'm thrilled to have Free Dining again but not too happy that we have to go a week early.......especially since that means we'll run into the Brazilian tour groups again.

The UDA national championship is being held at the Disney world sports complex Feb 4-5. A lot of those dance teams stay onsite and stay a bit longer than just the competition to enjoy the parks.
