Help!family/theme/colours

So Ill explain - we are getting married at sea breeze point there will only the DF parents and our little girl and I always saw my wedding colours being pink (cant decide on another colour yet!)
Now this is my problem - my side of the family cant travel for number of reasons and Im okay with this but ive now been talked into basically having a second wedding with all family and friends when we get back - Starting with a church blessing, the wedding breakfast and then evening reception with Dj and band!!So the full works!!they are paying so im not too fussed about that but it kind of puts me in a bit of a predicament because the wedding colour (pink) as well as the obvious disney theme are exactly the same as what my future sister in law has just done for her wedding!!She had pink and purple wedding with disney songs, disney cake, disney table decor everything so that sort of means I cant have that theme or colour!!
(I should probably explain - my fsil is very very very attention seeking / thunder stealer - i would happily cut her out of my life forever but DF's parents dont want family problems - she did the unspeakable in my eyes - she wished that I would miscarry my unborn child so that she could have the first grandchild in the family and then purposely got pregnant as soon as we announced our pregnancy ever since both our children have been born has constantly put down our child!!DF would happily cut her out our lives too but he loves his parents too much!)
So my question is what do I do? I cannot have pink as a wedding colour and I cant have an obvious disney theme - she did Cinderella and mickey mouse!So what can I do-I want subtle disney hints or maybe a boardwalk theme but I just dont know where to start and what colours!!Im quite open to any/all suggestions (btw I dont like red or blue as wedding colours!)
P.S-loads of people have suggested I just do what I want anyway but she would sabotage the wedding (when we asked people if they would be interested in coming to florida she suddenly announced that her and her husband would be having a VR in disney just a month before our wedding (and only 2 years after theres but luckily (for us!) they have both just lost their jobs!

Sorry if I come across as a bit catty / mean but she is a nightmare really!

that really does sound like a nightmare. i'm so sorry you have to go through that!!

did she use a hot pink? can you use a different shade and make it better?

have you considered black and white... or black and silver---that can look amazing!! you can do subtle pink in there as an accent maybe?

do you have other favorite characters--or maybe do chip and dale... they're fun!!

just some random thoughts. i hope it all gets better

It's shocking to me that people that ugly in character! I don't know what I'd do, even though I've been put in a situation or two with my fsil after i told her all the ways i'd love to get engaged in disney (my boyfriend and i have been planning for the past year to get married and engaged) she goes and gets engaged in disney using one of my EXACT ways a few months later, I was FURIOUS! But that made me the bad guy because "you should be happy for them."

Back on track...as for your theme, do what YOU want and keep her out of the loop, If you want PINK & DISNEY do PINK & DISNEY. She can be surprised when she gets there. And I must add you are a far more mature person than I am I wouldn't have even invited her, last time I checked its about you and your family not her and her drama and if his family doesn't respect that and step in then they can stay home too. But like I said, that's just me haha

Have you thoought about coral and like a sky blue? I saw it on the root's blog and the color combo is stunning.
That way, you can still use pink but not "copy" your fsil. I agree that you sohuld be able to do what you want, but the last thing you and your DF need on your wedding day is to give your FSIL more ammo to torment you with
By making small adjustments as far as theme and colors (is there another disney movie or aspect about the parks that you both love?) you can still make your wedding what you want it to be and keep her at bay, at least for your special day.
I'm so sorry she makes things miserable for you

You could always theme a movie... Alice in wonderland. Mad hatter type... Someone on here did a brilliant 'Up' theme... That way you can have Disney and it won't be intruding on your fsil. Sorry about the family drama... I hope it gets better for you!
