I do believe they are open at 9 am through 11 pm. Just ask the concierge for directions if you aren't taking a cab.

Our DD got sick in March while we were there, they are really nice, give them a call. They take a lot of health insurance.

Your other option is to call the number on your insurance card and they can let you know who in the area, if anyone, takes your insurance.

Hope that helps. Hope you son feels better soon.

I hope your DS gets to feeling better. What an aweful time to be sick.

Disney also has access to Drs. who will make "room" calls.

I know it isn't cheap (maybe $200?) but may be worth it to have him seen and not have to drag him around the "world." There are also pharmacies that will deliver to your hotel.

If you need this service, just call the front desk.

Never been to this Hospital But it's fairly easy to get to.

It's called Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital (ORSLH).

Directions From Downtown Disney Marketplace since I don't know where you are at.

From DTDMP Parking lot Turn Left onto Buena Vista Drive.
Then Look for Hotel Plaza Blvd and Turn Right.

Hotel Plaza Blvd End on Hwy 535...Turn Left and get over to the Right quick... Because you need to Turn Right onto Palm Parkway.

Follow Palm Parkway to a 3/4 way Stop...Go Straight.
Palm Parkway turns into Turkey Lake Road Go another mile or 2 and ORSLH is on the left.

Hope DS is alright...Good luck!

My DD is 14. We were at WDW Spring Break this year when she became very ill and required emergency surgery. We went to Orlando Regional Hospital Sand Lake and it was WONDERFUL. We have never had such care. They are owned by a group which owns several hospitals including a pediatric hospital that is supposed to be just as good. DD was too ill to be transferred. Good luck and let us know how you come out.

Disney has a doctor on call service that we had to use.
It was $200 that we paid up front and then submitted
the receipt to the insurance co.
Hope it is just something minor.

DD fell and sprained her ankle over Easter this year and I took her to Celebration Hospital. They were really great.

Hope your DS is better! We used the ER at Sand Lake when our dd had a croup attack on our first morning at Disney. They were so nice (and fast). it was very easy to find.

Another vote for Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital as it's fabulous! DD2 had to be hospitalized last year - too many illnesses to list, all caught in WDW. They ambulanced us over to Arnold Palmer's Children Hospital which was even more phenomenal. We orignally went to Centra Care Clinic right outside Downtown Disney - never again! Awful service, hours long wait (service CMs for regular appointments), doc missed her Rotavirus, etc. I would highly recommend Orlando Regional over Centra Care - several friends & family have also been to Celebration, which is owned by same group as Centra Care, but we have never been.

Hope your DS is doing better - hopefully for his sake, and everyone else's you are staying inside just in case he is contagious.

curious-has anyone recently used the in room dr's? we used them several years ago but a couple of years ago we were told the company went out of buisness. they were great and our travel insurance paid for it.

there's also that urgent care place right at the entrance to the disney property-we used it and they were very good.

I am always sick in wdw!I hope he feels better! There are tons of small medicus and medical centers in orlando that take walk-ins so look in a phone book or ask someone at the front desk.Hope he is better soon. How long are you staying?

Use Sand Lake Hospital!!! We waited for huors to be seen at Celebration then we saw the DR. and Nurses all LEAVE and LEAVE us waiting!!

We went bact to WDW and because DD was in so much pain they sent an Ambulance to get her I rode with her and DH followed in the rental car.

We were in and out of Sand Lake Hosital in ONE HOUR!! And our insurance paid 1/2.

DD had Acute Swimmers Ear. They put a wick type thing in her ear and saturated it with ear drops. Then 3 times a day I added more drops. After a full 2 days sleeping she woke up said her ear didn't hurt any more and pulled the wick out. And we went to MGM altho she was so weak we rented her a wheel chair. But the next day she was up and around like her regular self.

Hope your DS is up and around in no time!!
Pixie Dust for you all ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kathy87. I am also from Massachusetts. I'm a pediatric after hours triage nurse. LOT'S of calls yesterday for fevers, stomach ache and vomiting! :guilty: Hopefully it's just the "stomache bug" thats going around. Strep Throat is also going around again. You can have fever, upset stomache, headache and sore throat. You don't always have to have the sore throat. It actually would be nice if it was strep because he would be better after a few doses of antibiotics! Good luck. Let us know how it turned out.
