Hi guys,

This is an excellent forum, just wanted to congratulate you before I began :thumbsup2

Some background information:

My friend and I, both 21-year-old females, are coming to Orlando in August. We cannot rent a car: we are very young, and this pushes the cost up to beyond our budget. We are very much travelling on a budget, so this is not an option, although recommended. I have looked many, many car agencies but we simply cannot afford a rental car.

We are staying on International Drive, at the BW Plaza. We did not want to stay on Disney property because we did not want to get stuck "in the World". I have stayed in Disney property before but much prefer I-Drive. We want to go out and about and we're also doing Discovery Cove & Sea World.

The BW provides free transportation to WDW but we may not want to go at these times. We are happy to use public transport: namely the i-Ride trolley and Lynx buses.

Now for my questions:

1. What is the easiest and cheapest way of getting from I-Drive to WDW using public transportation?

2. Once on Disney land, are we able to use ALL the buses between ALL of the parks, water parks and DTD?

Many thanks for any help you can give us. We are very excited. I have been to Disney numerous times before (although not for the past 5 years) and my friend has never been to the States, Orlando OR Disney so she's SO excited.

Cheers
Kath

I can't answer number 1, but your other question is easy. Once you are on WDW property you can use any WDW transportation you want. This includes buses, boats and the monorails. I believe the rule is that you need to have a valid theme park ticket. I am not sure is this rule is still in effect, I read a post somewhere recently that this is no longer the case. In any event, in all my travels on WDW transportation nobody has ever asked me for a theme park ticket. So, YES, you will not have any problems within WDW using their transportation system.

Thanks very much, I thought this was the case but was having a moment of panic when I thought it may be restricted to those staying onsite (the only time I have used it was when I was staying online myself).

I really cannot WAIT to go. We're doing:
Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
MGM
Typhoon Lagoon
Sea World
and Discovery Cove

Over a total of 8 days. Epcot sucks :teeth:

Thanks, it does now I know which number bus route we want! You guys rock. :cheer2:
