I'm queen of Disney, but this not so much. We usually stay at RPH, and just get length of stay tickets. Well dd's Disney ticket has expired and mine is expiring soon, and I don't plan to renew this year so she wants to do Universal.

We are going for 2 nights in March and staying onsite. We will also be in the area in April for a competition so won't be staying onsite, but will try to squeeze in time. I was looking online and I see that a normal pass for me so I can get free self parking for the time in April plus food discounts is $200 with the cocacola code and FLorida residents (is this on every coke product-we don't drink soda so haven't seen it) and then the one for dd is $160 as I don't think she needs the normal one but the cheapest one correct? Our dates of March 13-14 and April 20-22 are not blackout dates. Would this work? Is it the best way to go? Should we both have same tickets? She will be 15 by then.

Help I've been to Universal before but never really looked into it much before. Thanks.

You could purchase one Preferred AP so you can get the park discounts and free parking and one Power Pass so she could come back outside the blockout dates. As long as you're not traveling during a blockout time that should work just fine.
