Help!! My DH/DS and brother/sister-in-law are renting house one week and extending stay in hotel for 4 more days!!! (We will have two 12 yr. old boys and one 14 yr old). I currently have ressies at both hotels. I have checked Trip advisor etc. and can't decide. Anyone have experience w/both?( My D.S. loves pools)!!! Thanks for any input.

I love this sight!! How did I ever visit WDWw/out it??? :-)

THANKS SOOOOO much!!!!

Is a pool important? I haven't stayed at the Grand Cypress but their pool is really nice!

**Edited to say that I just saw your note about the pool. Based on that I would go with the Hyatt hotel**

The JW Marriott has a fantastic lazy river as part of its pool set-up which your son will just love. And the whole Grand Lakes resort is fabulous - everything is just immaculate. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in January, having initially intended to stay at the HRGC. One day we went for a nose around it just to see what we'd been missing and, whilst it's a very nice hotel, it's looking a bit jaded to me and simply isn't a patch on either of the hotels at Grande Lakes.

it was in Nov & no part of their pool was heated so it was mighty frosty, to say the least. It was a nice hotel but much more formal than Wilderness Lodge, which we had just checked out of (early part of stay). For our 3 little kids, it just wasn't as family friendly. I thought DW restaurants were expensive but this was ridiculous!!!I would definitely stay there again if it were just me & DH & we wanted a more adult atmosphere but won't be taking the kids again. we had 3 free nights tho so hard to complain. Pool was nice tho if you are going in warmer time of yr.

Hi! I'm going to be staying at the Hyatt from the 9th - 12th. I will post when I return. If you have any questions prior let me know what to look for. When I did research for these hotels, my draw to the Hyatt was the distance to WDW and the pool. I believe part of the pool is heated but not all.

We are also going to be staying in the villas here in the fall. They look very nice if you need more space but share all the ameneties of the hotel grounds.

We've stay at the Grand Cypress Villas several times. The main pool is the most incredible I've ever seen. Lots of waterfalls. My teens loved it so much we had a couple of just pool days on our last visit.

Thanks all fo rthe good info. I thinkwe'll go w/JWM because DS likes Lazy River so much. I appreciate all replies.
