Help! Confused about restaurants in France! What's the difference??

We have ressies for Chefs de France during Labor Day weekend, free DDP. Was just checking out the menu on allears and realized there's another restaurant there, Bistro de Paris...looks like a whole other TS restaurant!

Can anyone tell me there experiences there, what's the difference, and should I consider this second one as a dinner option? I noticed that CdF only serves till 7pm...what's the scoop???

I can tell you that Bistro is not on the dining plan. It's a much more upscale, low key French restaurant. The food is wonderful, but pricey and I would not bring small children there.

As far as Chefs only serving until 7? I can't help you there, but I can only assume that they will seat their last guest at 7pm so you will be finished when the park closes at 9pm.

where did you see/hear that les chefs only serves until 7? that would be strangely peculiar.

Bistro is their more upscale place it is smaller & upstairs from Chefs. They do not have a childrens menu. We have eaten at both & we liked Bistro(without kids) food wise by a nose. But the kids love Chefs de France. We have always gotten good food & service at Chefs. And I have always seen people eating at Chefs during the Fireworks & they are at 9.

I think they offer the "French Menu" only until 7:00 p.m. You can certainly make an ADR after 7:00 p.m.

We love Chefs. We ate there twice in January and we have dinner reservations again in August.

Lobster bisque and creme brulee' are delicious!

Bistro de Paris is located upstairs and serves dinner only. It is an upscale restaurant and does not have a children's menu. Here is the Bistro de Paris menu.

Chefs de France serves both lunch and dinner. Here is the menu. I see the hours listed as 9:00 pm, and know I have seen folks still dining when we have left after Illuminations, so not sure about the 7:00 time,

I did remember this correctly. This is from the Chefs' dinner menu:

The French Menu: Soupe a l'oignon gratinee, Demi poulet fermier a la broche pommes puree au basilic et tomate braisee, and Creme brulee - Featuring the classic onion soup, Half of a farm raised rotisserie chicken, basil-flavored mashed potatoes, and braised tomato, and baked vanilla cream with pistachio madeleine. **Available until 7:00pm - $29.95

it's a set menu or fixed menu, common on almost every restaurant menu in France. Consider it like an 'early bird special' in America ie a lower priced menu for a certain time frame

After 7pm you cannot order the fixed menu, but only selections from the regular menu

I've never eaten at Bistro, but I really like Chefs de France - especially the French onion soup and the creme brulee.

OP here...thanks for the input. Yes, I see that it was the "French menu" that is offered only till 7pm. I guess that's a special offering, but the rest of the menu is offered till closing.
