help! coffee on laptop!

Not sure how it happened ugh but my coffee just spilled all over the table and laptop. Posting from phone. Help, any advice?

I've been lurking the DIS for a long time now and your post finally got me to register and post!

Just take the back off of the laptop and put the whole thing in uncooked rice (motherboard facing down). It sounds weird, but leave it there overnight and the rice will soak up any moisture and should take care of any problems the spill may have caused. I've done this a time or two and haven't had any issues.

If you didn't already do so, turn the laptop upside down (keyboard side down) on a flat surface. Gravity will encourage it to drain.

The rice idea sounds good.
