It's still two weeks until Thanksgiving!

This is DH and my 2nd "married" Christmas and I got a little ambitious and invited ALL (I mean, all) of our families to our house for the Holidays! We live almost right in the middle of both of our families so it made sense.

How will I ever get it all done? I've gotten most of my shopping done, but no wrapping, have planned the menu, but no cooking. Plus, we just bought a new house so I'm trying to plan decorations and see what I'm going to need everywhere. It's a little exciting and a lot stressful! I need advice from all you seasoned holiday veterans. Now I understand why my mom was always a little nuts around Christmas time!

Oh - I'm taking my sister on a WDW trip Dec. 17-23 so everything has to be taken care of before I leave.

I'm going to be the crazy lady on my street and decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving so I can stay at my parents house Thanksgiving weekend and help them decorate.

Is this fun or not? I'm not sure yet!

For your meal, get a precut ham, that you just have to put into the oven, make a big turkey, and see if you can have everyone bring a dish to add to your meal.

Decorating-there are many premade garlands that you can just drape above your door, fireplace...you could add snowglobes, stockings...do this asap so that you can get it out of the way.

Wrap presents and tag them as soon you as purchase them and set it aside so all you have to think about it handing them out.

Just do things on a daily basis as much as possible so that you are not left with a bunch of things to get done at the end, and so that you can enjoy your trip.

Make a plan on paper! And simplify where ever you can. I am notorius for doing things like this and working myself to the bone. But now I have hypertension EVERYBODY is helping me with these huge undertakings. Don't be afraid to ask for help from the relatives.

Get your decorating done early so you don't have to worry with it later. Don't procrastinate on anything.

Is there anything you can make ahead and freeze? Buy pre-cooked bird or ham and any other sides that you can.

Remember to take some time to chill!!

When all else fails...Hercules has the right idea! LOL!

Good luck!

Thanks for all the ideas! I think I like Hercules idea the best!

If I'm this stressed out now what will I do when I have kids?:p
