Help choosing a resort

DH and I have booked airfare to Orlando from Jan 20 -27, 2012!

That was the easy part - now we have the arduous tasks of selecting our hotel! The choices available offsite are overwhelming though! Based on my research I found that properties are either expensive, and highly rated/recommended, or inexpensive, but poorly rate/not recommended. We were hoping to find a clean place with free parking for around $80-100 a night. Oh and a non-smoking property is essential due to asthma and allergies.

We are planning on spending 2-3 days at Universal Studios, so it might be a good idea to book a hotel in that area. One property that has caught my interest is The Point Orlando Resort. Based on the recommendations on TripAdvisor, it's apparently worth it to upgrade to a one bedroom suite. FYI - The cost of a studio suite is around 750 + resort fee, and 920 + resort fee for a one bedroom suite.

I also received a quote from Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort for a 1BR-1BA with a possibility to upgrade to Presidential Suite for the same price, (through VRBO) for $730.00 including all taxes and fees.

Any thoughts, or suggestions?? I need help!
