So my DD is 13 tomorrow and where does she want to go for her birthday dinner.....yep....Cheesecake Factory!

Can someone please tell me what is the best thing to eat there and still stay in my 29 WW pts.? :confused3:confused3

They do have "weight management" salads to choose from. In addition, a simple pasta with fresh tomato sauce wouldn't be bad as long as you didn't eat the entire huge portion. They also offer flatbreads look more in proper proportion to normal size eating. If you go to dwlz.com, it includes some calories, etc and points for Cheesecake Factory, though I don't know if the points are correct for the new program.

They have salads that are 600 calories or less. That would be approximately 10-12 points. I also like the Thai chicken lettuce wraps. They are grilled pieces of chicken breast with lots of veggie garnishes. It comes with noodles too, which I usually skip in order to cut calories. But the chicken, veggies, and a little bit of dipping sauce, yummy!
My problem at Cheesecake Factory is the bread. So eat a 1 or zero point snack before you go so that hot bread and butter doesn't get you!

Thanks for the advice. I just can't believe that she picked the most high calorie restaurant around but it's her birthday!

I can't remember what they call it, but they have a page of small bites--small serving of things. Last time we went I had the beet salad (soooo good) and the fried zucchini and one slice of bread. I don't do WW, so I don't know what the points were, but it was more than enough food and really very tasty. There were lots of choices on that page including hummus. Have a great time!:goodvibes

Like most restaurants it is possible to eat there without consuming 2,000 calories. Sometimes the best thing to do is as for substitutions on the sides or to get a dish without the heavy sauce.

There is a salmon dish there that I love that comes in a cream based sauce and with mashed potatoes on the side. I get it without the sauce and ask to substitute vegetables instead of the mashed potatoes. With the salads you can cut a lot of calories by choosing the dressing wisely and asking for it on the side so you can use it sparingly.

Of course the challenge is avoiding the cheesecake but if you want to indulge you can split a piece with someone else and get it without whipped cream (if it is a flavor that comes with it) and that will cut the calories at least in half.

Just an fyi - even though the online menu doesn't contain the nutritional information, the actual menu at the restaurant does. Bring your Point's calculator with you.

I was actually able to dodge the bullet - they had a 80 minute wait at 5:30 pm, so we said forget it :thumbsup2

We ended up at Fuddruckers (I know, not much better) but I was able to get a Steak Salad with no bacon or cheese - I only ate half the portion of the steak and added onions & pico de gallo to the salad portion with a teaspoon of fat-free dressing - so I think I ate about 10 pts.
