Help! Car fixing ? need advice please

I hope someone here can help. I'm not sure what it is called but the part under the front bumper that sometimes drags on those parking lots stoppers is hanging down on one side. The car dealer can't get my car in to look at it until Monday morning. Any suggestions and is this an easy fix? I'm afraid to drive it but I'm single and it's my only car. I don't know who to call over the weekend to try and get this fixed and I'm afraid to drive it as it might come completely off and cause more damage. I'm also wondering how much this might cost.

Try going to www.cartalk.com and first click on "actual car information" and then scroll down to the first item under "owning" and click on "mechanics files". Then click on "We can help you find one." and it will take you to an area where you can find recommended (by consumers) mechanaics by area.

Just pull it off - it's probably attached by some clips. It's a "bumper valance" or "spoiler" and it is not necessary for functioning. If you want to replace it, a body shop'll do it, and it likely won't be as much as at the dealer (due to labor rates - part cost'll probably be the same).

If you don't want to remove it, duct tape the hanging side until someone can look at/fix it.

This is good for mechanics... but this isn't a mechanical problem
Duct tape was a great suggestion!
