Help, Can't get tickets stripped

We are here now at POFQ on the MYW package with free dining. We had to get the two day passes as part of the package but we don't need them because we had APs. Twice now I've sent DH to the concierge to get the tickets stripped off our room keys and put on separate cards and twice he's come back saying the CMs looked at him like he was nuts and said it can't be done. What is going on? I thought this was an easy process? Will we have bether luck at guest relations at a park?

You probably won't be able to get them transferred to a separate card as they are part of the package you have now.

But ask at guest relations in the park that as you don't need them, can you credit them against your next AP renewal?

Yes, you should be able to get them taken off and put on separate tickets. I'd wait until the end of your trip to do it. I do think you would have better luck having it done at guest relations at a park.

We were there in December and had a similar situation. Because of LILO, the upgrade to the computer system at the resorts, we were told to go to Guest Services at the park to have the tickets removed from the KTTW cards. The concierge said they were no longer doing it at the resorts. On our first morning we went to the park, but they suggested waiting until after we had used up our DDP credits, since the system was still new and there might be problems. However, we wanted to upgrade to APs and take advantage of its benefits during our trip. It took about 30 minutes, but we were able to remove the tickets from the KTTW cards and get the APs.

When you get them seperated do you have to use them yourself (ie are they still connected to your fingerprint?) or would you be able to give them away?

The OP hasn't used these tickets yet since they have APs. So there shouldn't be any fingerprints associated with them.

This is the same situation that I've been considering! I have 3 trips planned, and only 1 is a package with free dining. If I purchase the AP on my first trip, I won't need the park tickets for the second trip with the free dining plan . Can my dh use the park tickets on the following trip? Anyone know for sure??

Yes, as long as the tickets are not used on that trip, you can save them for the next trip. The 14 day expiration starts from the first day of use.

We had a similar situation. We had 4 2 day tickets. 1 we didn't use at all. 1 became an AP and 2 became 7day tickets. The one we didn't use at all they couldn't strip. They told me just to bring the same KTTW card back and they would be able to pull off the info. Even though it was DH's I'm planning to use it for my AP renewal so if there is a ticket increase this Fall like usual I'll enter the park with the old key and then go to guest relations inside because that way they bridge the ticket to the new value for you too.
