We are going to be passing through the Orlando area next week (sun through Fri) and had decided not to do Disney, but now dh wants to go!! We are a family of 5, and I would LOVE to find a 3 bed + place for a reasonable price. Is this impossible? Please direct me where to look for such a short notice rental. I would like cheap, b/c we will be staying at another area and paying for a hotel for Mon (an possibly Tues) night. I figured it was easier to just book the whole period rather than break it up. Thank you for any ideas! :goodvibes

You could try contacting Caribe Cove. It's a new resort, so it likely wouldn't be booked up at the last minute. Not sure whether there'd be any deals available, but it's worth a try.

Here's how I found a condo on short notice. I went to http://www.windsorhillsrent.com/.

Enter your info and dates where it says "Make an Enquiry." Send to all properties. Within a few hours you will hopefully have some responses. Sometimes owners will give last minute discounts so their condo doesn't sit empty. Good luck!

Be sure to specifically request last minute discounts (I've gotten some really good ones before)! :thumbsup2

You never know but it's doubtful, maybe someone got a last minute cancellation though. The resort is 100% full basically in March...or darn close to it. March is the busiest time of year this year due to Easter coming early.

You might also try the area Mgmt Companies, I found a townhome I'm renting last week through Global, it cost me MORE than renting directly from an owner though, but they were the only ones with openings left. I'm going down for a work conference, and it was still cheaper than a $200/night Disney hotel room (and it's just me staying alone in a whole townhome!).

I would also check ebay. I've done very well there (three 2BR/2BA condos at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas for the week before Christmas for $300 each).
