Help! Cakes- (anniversary or nondis bride??)

Hi Everyone,
I saw a post not long ago with a cake on the grand for an anniversary, and I also hear of people getting anniversary cakes.

I was wondering how this works to order a cake through disney if you are not an official dis bride? We are hoping to get the grand for hallowishes the eve of our VR... I wonder if I can actually just do it through disney. Does anyone know how I go about doing this? And what if we don't get the grand, is there anywhere else I can order it through disney? Does anyone know what options they might have?

There is a whole cake chatter thread on the dining boards, with lots of pictures. But anyone can older a cake at Disney, you don't have to be a bride. People order then all the time for birthdays, anniversaries, just because! If you do get the Grand, you would probably want to order the cake from the Grand Floridian bakery. The cake chatter thread has tons of info on how to go about ordering and the types of flavors available.

Anything served on the grand has to come from Private dining at the GF. They can certainly do any of the cakes mentioned on the cake board. Also if you want something different-special I am sure they can do that too. We always had good experiences with them in the past.

You're welcome, I didn't know about it either and came across it one day. There are some great cakes on there, makes me want to order myself one, but we're doing DxDP and there's just two of us, so definitely no need for a 10" cake, but the strawberries and cream filling looks soooo good!
