Help buying a new mattress

Ok, I know there is a lot of devestation going on in our country right now, and I hate to be insensitive. I really do feel for the people in Louisianna and Mississippi, and all their losses, so please don't flame me, but...

We need a new mattress, we've been sleeping on our current one for .... um, 23 years!! So you see we are definitely due. I was thinking about one of those sleep number beds. Does anyone have one? How do you like it?

They were talking about how great they were on the radio last month. I hear they are like $3,500 + though.

but if you will use it for another 23 years I guess it would be worth it

My dh and me have a 9 yr old mattress that were starting to believe needs replacing.

I was just on their website and their "most popular" model, queen size was $1600. They are having a labor day sale, and it was $200 off the reg. price I think.
