Hi...I need help with a decision on where to stay...We are currently booked at the All Star Movies for Aug. 24-31st. We have two rooms booked because there are five of us (two 17 yr olds, 11 yr old, and us parents).

I would really like to upgrade due to the additional activites at the moderates and deluxes.

If we stay at Coronado we would do two rooms but at BC we would do one room. Will we be to cramped in one room?

I think that my 11 yr old daughter would love BC because of Stormalong Bay and I also like the access to the Boardwalk & Epcot.

Can anybody help???? :earsboy:

I agree that wherever you decide to stay, two rooms will work much better. We also have two teens and no longer wish to all be squeezed into one room, it just isn't fun anymore. I love my kids as much as anyone could but as they have become teens the connecting door between us on vacation works out so much better for everyone. The two bathrooms are also a blessing. Would you consider the Caribbean Beach Resort? I'm sure there will be a discount code for your stay in August, usually they are farily deep discounts that time of year. Personally, my husband and I were not impressed with Coronado Springs resort/room during a business trip at WDW last spring. The rooms are fairly plain and CS is widely used by business travelers. I was glad we weren't paying for the room.

Although having the extra, extra room with two Coranado rooms, the BC would probably be more fun and conveinant. The BC rooms are slightly bigger, but my family (usually going with 5 people, three 22-17 year olds) has never had a problem. There has been plenty of room and the level of comfort is great. Plus, you get so much more when you stay at BC compared to Coranado with the variety of resturants, The Boardwalk, Epcot and MGM both in walking distance or easy to get to by boat, and the pool! In my opinion, CS and BC pools are the best on WDW property, but BC can't be compared. It's got so much and it's so fun!:smooth:

I've not stayed at either, but personally I think I would choose BC. At the end of August it is going to be HOT and with BC it will be easy to return to your room from either Epcot or the Studios in the middle of the day. There is also lots going on right at the Boardwalk for the teens.

The pool looks really great as well.

That's my 2 cents!!

You can get 2 queen beds + a daybed in the larger BC rms.

We have two teens who refuse to share a bed so they trade on
and off for the daybed.

Watch your extra adult charge for the BC rms.
They add $25 per extra adult (age 18+) over two
per night.

i would choose the BC!! We stayed there last year and loved the easy acess to Epcot, MGM, and the Boardwalk!! There will be so much for everyone to do at that location! :D

I think it depends on what is more important to you. The convenience of the location or the luxury of having 2 bathrooms.

We stayed in the Beach Club only once & absolutely loved it (there are 5 of us also - 3 DD's) & the bathroom wasn't an issue. The convenience to EPCOT & MGM is great. My favorite thing to do in the evening is walk around the Boardwalk.

What about doing a split stay - 1/2 at each resort. Then you could decide which you prefer for your next trip!! :p

We stayed at the Beach Club and really enjoyed it. There are 2 beds, plus a day bed. We found that there was plenty of room for everyone. The pool is great and the location is excellent. You are minutes from EPCOT, MGM & the Boardwalk. I would highly recommend this resort!!

Yes, we agree-there is plenty of room plus the convenience
of walking around Boardwalk, into Epcot at night for Illuminations,
Boardwalk Bakery for Breakfast (and treats)-awesome Waterpark pool...can't beat it.

A split stay would be ideal if it's not too cost prohibitive. Then
you could decide for next time. We love to visit all the different resorts and "snoop" around.

Ok, I think you guys convinced me to go with the Beach Club. I just think my daughter will love the pool area and the older kids can have a lot to do with the Boardwalk being so close.

Next time we go I do think we will try Coronado Springs, it looks like a beautiful resort....

Thanks for all the responses!!!!:Pinkbounc

. . .but I would gow with Coronado if I were you! We used to stay at the BC when our 3 kids were smaller, then tried 2 connecting rooms at CSR and really appreciated the extra room and 2 bathrooms. CSR is a beautiful resort and the pool there is great also (my 3 favorite pools at WDW are at CSR, BC/YC and AKL). There is a fun slide and a giant hot tub and a nice, uncrowded snack bar by the pool.
I love the Beach Club still, but will not stay there in one room with the whole tribe anymore! (kids are now 16, 14, and 12).
The only time we have all squeezed in one room since staying in 2 was when we stayed in a deluxe room at AKL. Each kid had their own bed (a queen for DH and I, a set of bunk beds and a nice big daybed).

And I would take CSR over BC in a heart beat. The room at BC was not very large - the room at CSR felt about the same size. When we stayed at BC we were a group of 5 also - me and my sister and our 3 daughers aged 5-9. Even with young kids, we all felt very, very crowded whereas we had stayed at the Cont on that same trip and were fine.

Two rooms at the CSR will give you an 4 beds and an extra bathroom and that could be very helpful with a group like yours.

Also BC does not have a food court which I find to be very inconvenient. The Pepper Market would offer a lot more food choices for teenagers. At BC you are limited to Beaches & Cream or the snack bar at the pool, both of which have very limited menus.

The pool at CSR was really nice - its not Stormalong Bay but its still has a good water slide, they play rock music and have a huge spa and a snack bar. And there is an arcade right there. Plus CSR has bike and boat rentals.

Personally I would chose CSR because I know it has enough amenities to keep you happy plus you get the extra beds and bathroom.

Enjoy your trip.
