So we are here in an amazing room at BLT. View is insane. Problem: Baby has a respiratory virus, on the tail end. Has been wheezing, etc. Dr said go to Disney anyway, just have him in an inclined sleeper like a rock n play. Ordered one from Amazon to be delivered Fri (yest) since we check in today. Amazon sent confirmation with guaranteed delivery date of yesterday Jan 2. BLT did not have--checked status of order online--says delivery estimate Jan 6. SO UPSET. Beyond raging out at Amazon, which will do Jack to fix the problem, anyone have any suggestions as to how to deal with this tonight? Should I grab a cab and head to a toys r us? Is there anything like that?
 
My daughter was born with Asthma and we just tipped the mattress on her brib so she was propped up. Put a pillow, towel or blanket under the pack n play, in the room, to tip up the mattress. You can swaddle so he doesn't drift in the bed

Yes, you can incline what she is sleeping on a bit for a similar effect. We used a wedge underneath to elevate my son's mattress.

We did the same. Or, if you brought a car seat, have baby sleep upright in that. My daughter spent weeks in a car seat sleeping with a respiratory infection.
 

You guys are all brilliant. We didn't bring a car seat since we were counting on the sleeper/rocker. I was about to either: uber a car, get a cab, or try inclining a pack n play....

You are not going to believe this though: when the concierge at the Contemporary could not find the package (it was after hrs) they offered to look into it. They sent a runner to check stock to Target and Walmart. They found the exact model and delivered it to our room.

I am beyond blown away. BEYOND. I worried that we would be treated in an inferior manner to a cash guest. Ha. If that is inferior service bring it on.

That is absolutely awesome! I would make sure you get some names and recognize them for their outstanding service.

For others reading, BLT, BWV, BCV, and VGF packages are delivered to business services since these resorts are convention resorts. This makes finding packages after hours more difficult and there is an additional handling fee at those resorts.

Yep! I knew that they were delivered there but didn't realize that the center closed at 5pm on Sat so that is something to be aware of--the concierge was going to look anyway for us, that is when I looked at the order confirmation and noted that it was going to be late. I am not sure when they open today but I suspect it is 9 am.

While I think there are many things Disney does less well than comparable properties, one thing they excel at is fixing an individual problem when there is one. Obviously it's hit or miss depending on the individual. I've had similar experiences with Marriott where they've gone out and bought items without being pushed.

My big story that I've told here before about Disney was from many years ago at VB. We had a family stay there, 98 I believe it was, and had requested we be near the BBQ grills, actually reaffirmed the request 2 additional times with an OK from the CM. At the time they didn't have grills but I didn't know that and of course a grill on the balcony was not workable. We'd already bought steaks for 9 when they realized they'd given us the incorrect info and they called us about it. They offered several options which included picking up the steaks and cooking then returning them. I decline that because timing and temperature is everything with such a meal. Their next suggested was they pay for a meal at the restaurant there which they did. They even refused me giving tip saying they were taking care of that as well.
