HELP!!! AP neophyte is totally PUZZLED!!

We have reservations for a standard room at GF (3/12-3/19). I will be visiting with my newly engaged daughter. I purchased an AP because
...I was hoping for a room discount
...I will be returning with my DH within the year
I now find that GF is either not available for the AP discount or the rooms are all booked . (I suspect the former; the CM on the phone this morning was more than willing to quote me a rack rate) I would also consider either YC or BC. I have been to all the other Deluxes at least one time and LOVE them all but DD wanted GF .
My questions:
Is it possible that GF or YC/BC will suddenly appear on the AP discount list??
How often should I call?
Is it possible to convert my AAA reserved room to an AP discounted room? Do I contact my travel agent??

AP discounts are subject to availibility. Your dates may be sold out or your resort. There are only a limited number of rooms at each resort that are discounted and that number is a highly guarded secret. Certain resorts and certain dates some time sell out of the discouted rates very quickly.

You can keep trying to see if anything opens up for your dates and your preferred resorts, sometimes it does happen. You are going during Spring Break so I am not sure if this will occur, but it is worth trying.

As to how often to call that is hard one to say. Things change literally by the minute at WDW reservations.

As to your AAA room, if you reserved this through a Travel Agent, the TA will have to make the changes, Disney will not let you change a reservation made by an agent.

Hopes this help, while AP rates are good if you get them, they are never a guarantee.
