Hey! Does anyone have any ideas for a great Mommy & daughter trip to WDW? We are staying onsite and have been there before, but not just us, and she was younger. What would be super fun for a Mommy & 5 year old princess? Any ideas? Whats your favorite thing to do with girl!

Thanks!

we did this on a cruise last year-but it could easily be done at wdw as well (and my daughter loooooooooooved it-still talks about it). we went to a salon and she had a pedicure. she was so thrilled that someone could paint her toenails and not get polish all over her toes (like a mommy who will remain nameless) :rotfl2: when i called and advised of the age of the "client" they actualy reduced the price by quite a bit. it was fun, girly and everytime she glanced down at her toes she got a big smile on her face :sunny:

i took mom & daughter trips for years when i was little, some of my favorite memories & alone time with my mom are at wdw. years later i go with my fiance & still do mom & me trips in the winter, along with large family trips every other year.

as for what to do the princess meals were always a kick when i was little as was swimming at the resort pool or typhoon lagoon. have fun & take pictures they make great memories!

How about the My Disney Girl Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the GF? DD and I went when she was 4 and we both loved it. You'll have a blast no matter what you end up doing.

DD and I had a wonderful dinner at 1900 Park Fare! It was awesome!

Thanks for the suggestions. I am planning on the PSB or dinner at Epcot and eating a snack in the castle. I also read that we can get our hair gelled and sprinkled with pixie dust. Pink hair for Mommy and Purple for DD. I thought we would do that too! I was looking for something to break routine so Mommy doesn't go on auto pilot and do the same old thing. Any other suggestions???

~WE CAN'T WAIT~

Wahoo!
:earsgirl: princess: :flower:

My six year old daughter and I went to 1900 Park Fare for dinner with Cinderella. We also went shopping afterwards and she picked out a Princess jewelry box and a necklace. We took some awesome pictures with Cinderella and gang. We put the pictures in a castle picture frame and she keeps it on her night stand by her bed. She talks about mommy and me time every time she looks at the pictures.

My daughter loved getting a hair wrap at our resort. She also liked getting a Stitch tatoo on the way out of Blizzard Beach (she isn't a princess kid). We have been home a week and both the hair wrap and tatoo are still going strong. She starts school tomorrow and can't wait to show her friends. She also bought the soft rubber bracelets with the Mickey heads on them to give to her friends. We had lots of fun together. Enjoy your time together! :flower:

Oh gosh, I have tons of ideas! I've been planning my mommy & daughter (s) trip for months now! I'll share them with you....We're buying 3 princess crowns and wearing them all the time, we've themed this vacation our "All Princess All the Time" trip, We're doing several TS - CRT, Epcot Storybook, 1900. I plan on buying both the girls a silver charm bracelet as well as one for me, with matching castle charms. We're going to a local salon the day b4 we leave for manicures/pedicures. We will probably all get a hair wrap, or something (I kinda like the gel/pixie dust idea), I secretly got us all matching Mickey/tye dye t- shirts to wear at WDW. Hmm, maybe that's all I have so far, I thought there was more...I'll keep thinking....

Thanks! I was thinking of stuff like you mentioned to make it extra special, since the boys aren't coming...Ya know, just the girls stuff. I have so much stuff going on I dont have time to sit here and dig through the boards looking for ideas...although I want to! Getting matching stuff is a good idea - she's 5 and will think thats cool.

I also got her a laynard and pins off of Ebay for her to trade. And we are going to watch Ella Enchanted on the way there on the plane. Maybe I should pack us a Princess goodie bag too princess: ...Hmmm....It sounds silly, but I wanted to think about all this B4 we go, so I don't get distracted while we are there and do adult boring stuff...

By the way - Im outa the loop - whats TS-CRT (timeshare and cartwheels doesnt sound right?)

Thanks for everybodies ideas! Keep 'em coming!

:cheer2:

I am sooo jealous! I have two boys! I am looking though because, we will be there with my neice and I thought it might be fun to do something girly with her since I never get to do girly stuff. We are sooo going to the tea party!

I'm blanking out on the Tea Party...I thought you were talking about the $200 tea party at the GF? Am I thinking of something else? What tea party are you all talking about?

There is a Traditional Afternoon tea at GF as well . They serve you in nice china!!! Real nice, I plan on taking my DD4 when we go in Dec..... allearsnet.com has a great review with the menu as well.....I was thinking about maybe a spa day with her as well...or maybe checking to see if they have a cooking class ...Have fun, just being there with her is going to be so much fun!!!!!

LOL !!! It means table service, and Cinderella's Royal Table

Oh my gosh! (Golly Gee and stuff too!) That is so cool! We had Dora call once and she loved it. This will be a great way to send her off! Great tip!

And we got into The PSB for dinner...no luck on the castle (CRT - I got that now :rotfl2: ...thanks! Counldn't figure it out B4). Last time we were at the castle they said there was no room, but when we got there they let us go in and eat...we didnt even have to wait - the place was empty. I dont know if they extended their hours or what, but I thought I would give the "walk up and ask" a shot.

Wahoo! We're going to Disney World!

I second the Afternoon tea at the Garden View (Grand Floridian). I took my pirates pirate: pirate: (about 2 hours after the cruise was over!) and they had a good time. The waitress was excellent with them and DH and I really enjoyed ourselves. I would think with just the two of you it would be VERY special! allearnet.com has the menu too.

I also suggest the Storytime with Belle in MK. I know that when I'm with my kids I sometimes like to let them get a little distance from me so I can think, "Gosh! They are just SO cute!" :lovestruc

In the Land at Epcot you can bake cookies, free. I don't know what your budget is, but each of these things is fairly (for Disney) economical!

And my DD8 spent her own, hard-earned Disney $ on a face painting at Marketplace. She loved it and the attention she got!

You could also pick out ears at MK and they'll embroider them free. My kids really enjoyed that!

Have fun. DD and I planned a tea party at a real tea house for her fifth birthday, and all her friends dressed up and acted like 'fine ladies.' Girls only! We still talk about it!

There is an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party at GF. I think I paid about $24 to 32ish for my DD4. (don't recall the amount but so worth it whatever it was!). She had a ball! Parents aren't included, but there is a nice surprise at the end of the event for parents which could make it special. While she is at the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party, you should wander over to the GF Spa and treat yourself to a pedicure or quick massage!

Have fun!
