Delta keeps moving our flight out of MCO - three times now - and each time they keep whittling away at our last day! We had planned on a 4:50PM flight which would give us a half day to play AND I had an 8:05 reservation at CP to boot that day! The only day I could get it! NOW they have us departing at 12:05 which means our bus will likely pick us up at 9am or so - no day in the park and no CP! :sad1:

We booked through Disney - is there ANYTHING we can do about a 5 hour change without incurring huge penalties to change our flight? Or are we just completely at the whim of Delta doing what they want to our schedule?? I could understand if it were inclement weather or a plane broke down or something, but this is over three months away!

Check out Delta's web site to see if there are any later flights that fit your needs. You should be able to change to a later flight if available. It may involve connections, if needed. You can try to call Delta if you have your confirmation number, but may have to work through Disney since they are acting as your travel agent. Try calling direct first.

I have a Delta flight at the end of October that was originally scheduled to leave at 12:35pm. That was the latest flight I could get with frequent flyer miles. They moved it earlier twice - to 12:10 and then 11:50. The first time I called they said they would only make a free change if it was more than 90 minutes. When they moved it a second time, I checked online and there was a flight with miles that left at 6:30pm. I called and said our new flight was too early for us and asked if we could be moved to that flight. They moved it with no charge! So your 5 hour change would definitely be eligible for a free change.

Hand pick alternate flights you would like, doesn't matter what the fare showing is or whether they are flights with miles.

Then telephone and quietly request your choice, saying nothing about miles.

Only if they say the flight you chose was ineligible because of miles or fare level should you reply that they made the change and should allow you to get something else that "works better" for you without paying more.
