Help/advice FP+ Magicband

This may not be the correct place to ask this, but none of the other sections looked right.
I was just able to select FP+ selections for our trip Dec 1-6. However I still cannot access or modify magicbands. I thought you had to have the bands to use FP+. I'm hoping that the bands just haven't loaded to myDisneyExperience. Anyone have any insight on this?

I am able to customize magic bands but not make FP+ selections

I hadn't been able to do anything through the magic bands link (and honestly didn't try that first today) but this morning I went to edit my friends and family list and it indicated there that we had a magic band order...clicked on the button next to it and was able to customize.

I have a 3 way split stay with check ins on the 4th, 5th, and 7th. I could make all my FP+s on Thursday, magic band personalization for my 5th and 7th check-ins appeared yesterday, and my band for the 4th didn't show up today.

I was able to make FP selections before I had the offer to customize the Magic Bands.

Try modifying your online check-in. Sometimes that makes the MB customization available.

If you haven't yet, check in online. The ability to get/personalize your magic bands seems to be attached to this. If you have completed online checkin, click on the modify your reservation button. You don't need to modify the reservation, but more 'refresh' it.

Currently, MBs are tied to the resort you are staying at. We are staying at the Villas of Grand Floridian Nov 5 -11. When we linked our reservation and tickets, we were able to select FP+, but didn't have MBs. About 2 weeks ago, I received both an email and a letter in the mail indicated we were receiving the MBs (if we wanted). Later that day, I logged into MDE and I was able to "personalize Magic Bands". Once I selected them, they were overnighted via FedEx. Based on your trip, you may be a few weeks away from even being able to customize them.

After I did the online check-in, the magic bands popped up. Everything looks good, now to deal with FP+ a little more.
