Help About WDW Purchases

Hiya,

I am staying on the WDW resort and have read that when you do, any purchases made in the park can be sent directly back to your resort.

Can someone tell me how this works. Do we just let the cashier know that we'd like them sent back direct or do we have to take our purchases to guest services?

Also - is it the same for purchases from DTD? Can they get sent back to your resort too?

You just let the cashier know and they give you a little form to fill out (name, resort and room number etc). They ship it to your resort gift shop - usually ready for pick up the following afternoon. I used this service at the World of Disney in Downtown Disney but I don't know if every shop there uses it. This most recent trip I used this service regularly and loved it - much more convenient then lugging bags around all day

Yes, when you pay just tell the CM that you would like the packages sent to your resort. The only time it is not possible is on the day you check out. And, yes, you can do it at DTD too

Even if you are staying offsite, you can use package pick-up in the parks. You can ask for package pick-up and anything you buy during the day will be sent to a location near the front of the park and you can just collect it on your way out.

We did this last year and found it so handy! Especially for anything breakable...we bought some glass Christmas decs at Epcot and didn't want to carry them around just in case so we had them shipped back to our resorts giftshop. Just tell the cashier that you want it shipped back to your resort and they will arrange it. Only think to bare in mind is that you can't do this a day before you check out though.

The only thing to add is you need to tell the cashier before you pay.

Most places you can't send if you are checking out the next and some it is 2 days before. Motto is shop early!
