ok I'll admit it, I'm a type A planner and I'm having a bit of a meltdown as I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing with this trip!
I'll give you some basics: there is 4 adults and 4 children aged 8, 2 4 yr olds and a 5 mth old baby. we are staying at hotel Cheyenne for 2 nights from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July.

I have booked cafe mickey for the Friday evening at 6:15 so the kids can see some characters on the first day. but then I'm not sure where to book for a Saturday meal? Sunday I'm thinking it will be counter service or the character tea party before we go home. so question 1: where should we eat Saturday?
question 2: it seems logical to see dreams on Saturday night but would we be better trying to see it on the Friday night when everyone is watching the Olympics opening?
question 3: how would you divide your time between studios and Disneyland park given our limited time? and if we see dreams Friday night there's no way the kids will cope with emh on Saturday ,so then I guess emh on Sunday? would you switch it around and get earlier night first night there?

phew think I need to breathe lol! also is there anywhere I can get a better idea of show times this far out or do they only publish one week at a time?

thanks for any help you can give, I'm not sure why I'm having a freak out, probably as its not wdw so I feel lost! I'm also getting worried about mob scenes with characters for the little ones, how can I get round this apart from character meals?

Hi :flower3:

I would suggest doing Dreams on the last night and EMH on Saturday morning. With the ages of the kids I think you'll need to hit Fantasyland early, the nearer to 8am the better. You'll get on everything a few times, which means to can miss there later in the day.

We normally do EMH then the Studios. When we've done what we want at the Studios, we head back to the main park as it's open much later, 11pm probably when you go.

They are very close together - 5 mins walk - so you can easily park hop. It's also a good idea to do the studios on Saturday when it's likely to be busy as there are several shows you could do to get away from busy crowds.

Depending on what time you get there on the Friday, you might be surprised by what you can get done. Fantasyland is quieter when the parade is on, 7pm, so you might get some rides in then.

You could have a character meal at Cowboy Cookout in Frontierland on Saturday. Other than that, try to stick to the organised meets for characters around the park including Meet Mickey Mouse in Fantasayland and the Princess pavilion. You'll also be able to meet characters in the hotel lobby at breakfast. You can also pop into other hotels during breakfast times, 7am - 11am. I'd recomend going into the Disneyland Hotel if you can during this time. Go upstairs, or 1 floor in the lift, and follow the corridor the restaurant area - the characters will be there.

Hope this helps :goodvibes

The park schedules are only realeased one week at a time but they don't tend to change a lot from week to week. Summer season starts on 7th July so the park schedules from then right until the beginning of September are likely to be the same. :goodvibes
