I have been so focused on the cruise part that I have completely ignored the park part! I am nervous now! I am traveling next week by myself with DS 5 and DD 3. We are only going to be there for 4 days so we have enough time for 1 park a day. I think this is how we are going to do the parks based on the info I have about which park is busiest when.

SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY
AK MGM MK EPCOT

Does anyone know how this coinsides with the extra hour? I don't think we are going to be doing a bunch of rides so the extra hour may not really even be worth it for us.

Also, I saw that the weather is supposed to be COLD!! So, I guess that leaves out getting wet. What is a must have in that situation??

THanks! I am getting nervous~ it's my first time!

Jen,
The days you have planned sound fine but I recommend you decide what you want to do at each park. You may find out that with a 3 & 5yo you may need 2 days at MK & maybe skip Epcot this time. Or combine AK/MGM (AK in the am, MGM in the afternoon/eve). Or just do Fantasyland, Toon Town & Tomorrowland at MK.
Bring layers so you can peel off that sweatshirt or coat if it gets warmer (I am assuming you have a stroller where you can throw your layers, if not - then use the lockers).
We just got back & it was very overwhelming, even with the help of dh & my sis. So try to go at the pace of your kids & realize you will not be able to see & do everything.

I am leaving in 2 days and I looked up the weather on several different web sites for the next ten days and it doesnt look cold during the day. Its like mid 80s during the day but 60s at night. I guess the cooler temperatures at night will make the water colder....I couldnt handle the cold water but its amazing what kids will do! Have a great time!:sunny:

Thanks you guys! We are going to be coming on Sunday so the AK day will be a short one. Plus, I think it closes at 6 or so. That will be good though because then we can come back to the hotel (CBR) and relax a little.

I am brining my double stroller because it is just me and I have read on these boards that even for a 5 year old it is a good idea to have one. And it will be a good place to store stuff and give me a little peace of mind not having them running all around!

So you think skipping Epcot would be OK and doing the MK two times? We have all never been so we will not know what we are missing out on!

I wasn't paying attention and pulled up Orlando, WV!! :) MY bad!

Listen closely.

AK is a skip! Come on folks, this is a zoo. And a hot one at that.
Kilmanjaro is a bore, Kali River is ho-hum.

Devote this time to any of the other parks. :o

AK is my favorite park and it is not a zoo. MK is a zoo. All those screaming kids and the stollers from you know where! (Why do those people think that a stroller is a battering ram?)

Anyway, the OP said it was going to be COLD???? I just checked weather.com and for the next 10 days the highs are in the 80's. I would not call that cold.

I reposted that I had pulled up Orlando, WV. MY BAD, but was corrected in that post and gladly found that it was going to be beautiful!
