HELP!! 3 ADRs at "most disappointing"!!!

To echo SandraVB79's comment, you are refering to the "most disappointing" thread... I echo your concern, but those people were posting about the ones they were disappointed in. That isn't a good place to find a lot of rebuttles or "we loved it" posts. The suggestion to check out the "food porn" thread and see the photos is a great one. The atmosphere...well, you'll have to read the positive posts.

Don't fret, we are choosing the same restaurants ourselves. You just never know how it will go, even at an old favorite.

Good luck!

Heidi

I always worry when I tell someone - Oh, we loved it and It was awful! Of the three you listed, have been to them all several times....and would go back in a heartbeat.
In fast, we go to Ohana for dinner every trip (that's probably 6-8 times in last past 4 years). We used to do CM every trip (breakfast) and haven't recently as the kids are now grown, but we are considering it for our June 2006 trip. And WCC - had a great birthday celebration there last year. Plan to go back again this trip. But we did breakfast, not lunch.

We just recently recommend Ohana to family friends who were in the world last week, while their college age DD was playing softball at WWoS. Just talked to the mom 2 days ago and they loved it. Took our advice and got were there to see the fireworks. Had a great view. They loved the new menu and since they had heard from us....well the menu is changed, etc. She wondered what there could have been that would have been better. In fact, she said she wished they had time to go back they liked it so much. And they loved the new dessert.

So you never know for sure. Time them and see. Our problem now is there are too many places we want to visit each trip and have to drop some favorites to hit them all.

We've gone for the character breakfast at Chef Mickey's and loved it each time. Don't worry, it's Disney World!

We ate at WCC and Ohana and we liked both. We went to Ohana twice. First time was our first night there and I really thought it wasnt going to be that good because of everything I read, but we decided to try it anyway. It was awesome and the magic kingdom had fireworks that night that we got to watch from Ohana. What a pleasant surprise. We loved the food so much, we decided to go again for our final dinner at disney.

Cant wait to go again. :thumbsup2

We love Chef Mickey's for breakfast and 'Ohana for dinner! I think no matter what the meal/ride/resort/anything else, there are going to be people who like it and who think it's awful. It's just a matter of personal preference.

I would look at the menus on allears and decide what YOU think. If it looks like something you and your family would enjoy, then go for it. That's not to say you won't hit it on a bad day or something, but I don't put too much into the reviews just because people are all different.

Have a good trip!

Honestly no matter where you choose someone will say they hated it. Everyone has different tase. We eat at CM's and 'Ohana every trip. The food at CM isn't gourmet, but I don't think it's bad and your DS will have a ball.

Ditto!!! We have eaten at O'hana and Chef Mickey's and loved them both. We are going to go to them on our next trip!!!!

I agree that tastes vary from one person to another. SO go for it and have a ball. I will say that for a buffet breakfast you just can't beat Crystal Palace in my opinion. I have been to 3 others and this is my fav. It is also wonderful for lunch or dinner as well. I like WC but haven't ate there in quite a while. I have noticed the reviews of it lately not being too good. I'd also recommend 1900 Park Faire for evening dinner. Great food and service.

Blessings,
Winnie

I would just leave them as is. They aren't bad places. We've been to all of them several times.

CM's is not bad nor spetacular, but we've been there several times anyway ;) Breakfast is pretty good here, standard buffet items but I think you're 5 yr old will enjoy his b-day breakfast here. The atmosphere is fun!

A lot of posters have been to O'Hana's before they made some menu changes so they're making comparisons. Now, if you go just expecting "whatever" you may be pleasantly surprised since you have nothing to compare to. We enjoyed it but haven't been there since the changes.

We've always liked WCC. Some people don't like the antics that go on, but we have fun with it. And the servers are all different as far as their antics go.

Now that I've given you our experiences that doesn't really matter, find out for yourself. I think you'll enjoy yourselves at all of these meals. Everyone has their opinions (as I do too), but we go to WDW a lot so the more you go to the same place the more you tend to expect and sometimes one bad experience may keep you away from somewhere.

They are all fun restaurants that all have quite different themes and to anyone who has never been to WDW I'd recommend trying all. :teeth:

How funny. I've eaten at all three and love all three. We do Chef Mickey's every year and it is a must do. I did Ohana breakfast for the first time and loved it and really enjoyed Whispering Canyon. You have to do for you. Opinions are just that. Some like it some hate it, but that's what makes us all unique! GO and have fun I say!!!!!!!!!!!!
