I know this is the bazillionth character meal question! Sorry! I have had 1900 PF for breakfast on our day to Kennedy Space Center booked.... BUT just stumbled upon a dinner ADR for Crystal Palace for that night. I can't keep both. I wanted some Pooh characters for my littlest (20 months), DD4 will see princesses in Akershus. Which would you keep or get rid of? Crystal Palace dinner or 1900 Park Faire breakfast? Based on both character experience and food??? TIA! *OH, and I have to upgrade a day of tickets, but I think it's only like $15 or $20 total, so not a huge deal.... but do you think eating at Crystal Palace is worth it?

I am going to be honest...if you are going for food skip them both as dinner at CP and breakfast at 1900 PF is just horrible.

I would go with what would work out for my schedule

I think you're talking about completely different experiences. I can tell you that CP is a fave in our family. Our kids are a little old for Pooh and friends, but they still love it; it's like seeing an old friend.

Go with what works best with your schedule and don't give it another thought. Enjoy your trip!! :goodvibes

I agree, I dislike both for dinner in terms of food, so if you are doing it for the characters then pick which characters you like. That's what the charcater experience is all about. CP has a great breakfast, I would recommend you fit that in instead if you want pooh if you can instead of dinner another day. Plus it's cheaper and you won't have to add a ticket.

Last week we had Tigger and Pooh at the 1900 Park Fair breakfast, along with Mary Poppins, the Mad Hatter, and Belle in her peasant dress (Alice was sick and couldn't make it). the food was very good. Lobster benedict---mmmmmm. There was a lot of choices, and they kept eveything filled. We had an 8am ADR. Dinner at CP was alright, but the character interaction wasn't as heavy--Tigger didn't even get to our table in the 2 hrs we were there before we gave up knowing we would see him at Park Fair in a couple days. Food was fine, but they had a hard time keeping things filled. If you do go there, make sure to check both dessert stations, because there are different things on each one.

winnie the pooh character are at both.. pooh and tigger are at 1900 along with alice in wonderland characters and mary poppins. crystal palace only has winnie the pooh but has piglet and eyore as well as tigger and pooh. both places are great for breakfast. if you are going to the magic kingdom another day then go for 1900.. but do crystal palace if you arent going to the MK again, so the kids can see the castle. I prefer the food at 1900 b/c of the lobster eggs benedict. Also, the characters come around more quickly at 1900... we have had to wait around to see the characters at Crystal Palace. Now if you get an early enough adr, you'll wont have to wait as long b/c it wont be packed yet. both restaurants have a victorian theme which is beautiful. 1900 also has the cute carousel theme as well with horses from the carousel as decor. crystal palace always has gorgeous topiaries in the center area near the food. have a great time :) both are great.. oh but you said CP dinner... look at their menu to see if you like it, it's more fancy food choices.. like salmon, etc. We didnt care too much for their dinner food.

Thanks for the input! I think I'm going to keep 1900PF just for the schedule convenience and cancel CP. I might keep trying to get a brfast ressie there on one of our MK days- so far no luck! : )

I think you're making the right choice. CP breakfast is SO much better than CP dinner, and I would certainly not add a day onto my tickets just so I could eat there. Park Fare breakfast is very nice and relaxing and the characters are entertaining. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get a CP breakfast ressie!

We have only done the opposite: CP breakfast and 1900PF dinner. If it was a choice between those meals foodwise, then I would pick CP. Both had good character interaction though. Like I said I don't know about the food at CP dinner or 1900PF breakfast, but if you have to buy an extra day of tickets just for CP, then I'd stick with 1900PF.

I think you are doing the right thing, I think both are great for breakfast, I wouldn't spend extra $$ for tickets just to go to dinner at crystal palace, but i would keep checking for breakfast ressies, even call when you get there,I think that would be fun, plus the restaurant is so pretty inside, i love the conservatory look, especially of you get to go in to MK before opening!

Crystal Palace is really pretty neat. I don't care for Pooh and Friends, but I thought the character experience was stellar.

However, 1900 Park Fare also has Pooh and Friends and Breakfast, with the added bonus of Mary Poppins and Alice. in Wonderland. That way you're getting a 2-for-1 since both kids will enjoy it.
