No, but I understand it. Boy do I understand it.

I hope we can access his w-2 today. I am getting so frustrated.

I haven't even started on our taxes yet. I'm waiting till we get our w-2s. I'm very curious to see how it will turn out. I only worked for 3 months this year. I still payed taxes on my unemployment. We'll see.

Sadly, it's pretty much the same here in any experience I had. Which is sad. I can understand with very young children -- like babies and toddlers if they are still breast fed and all that, but there's nothing that says the woman is always the better parent. But then there are so many fathers who don't give a rats behind.

My dad never wanted custody of me so my mom got sole custody. She still holds it against him that he didn't really want a lot to do with me. But at least he kept in touch and didn't completely shove me off or anything. I don't think it would have gone over well if they had done anything joint custody wise.

My DD's dad is a piece of work. When she was little, he only kept her over night every other weekend. He complained that she would "get in the way" with the time he spent with his boys. He still owes almost $20,000 in back child support. I offered to waive the back it he waived all rights to her, scince he wasn't all that into her and wanted an out of state hunting licences I honestly thought he'ld go for it. He didn't. He still thinks he's the worlds greatest dad.

Mine is a pretty good dream right now. I am planning to go with my BFF and during the week is better for both of us. I have tentatively have reservations for meals and the hotel. I am investigating the DVC, but I think we will stick with what we already have.

On a side note he doesn't care for fashion much, but, he likes me to wear brighter colors. That was his thing, one of them is gray, one is light blue, one is green, one is dark pink, and medium blue. He thought the gray one and the lt blue one were boring. I am in transition with my weight I don't want to spend a lot on money on clothes.

I know how you feel about not wanting to spend cash on cloths that are only going to fit for a short time.

You know I was really looking at the within walking distance places but kind of decided that I really like the reviews I have read about the Ayre's Hotel on Katella. I have free parking at the DLR so that isn't a big deal or even a deciding factor.

I'm swell. Took the kids to play at Bass Pro shop. Such a cool store. Thier prices aren't too bad either. I've gotten some really cool shirts there for under $20. I like to explore there hiking/camping section. The kids like to test the boats and look at the fish.

Played Rock Band (the first one) with the kids this evening. They all had a blast. It's hard to play with Little Monkey cause he dosen't quite get it and gets booed off stage. Even if I play supurbly, we can't finish the song. So far I think the best way to play with him is to take turns on the drums.

I'm fairly certain I won't get a responce to this until tomorrow sometime but, how do you learn to ski/snowboard? Which is easier to learn? I can roller skate and ice skate. Where is a fairly local place to us that has a good value and decent teachers?

If you can skate, then skiing.

Skiing is easier to learn to be a beginner. Snowboarding is easier to get good at. But few snowboarders ever get really good.

If you want to do something real casual just ski you find it more fun sooner.


If I can recall, Tracy is really close to Stockton. You might try going to Bear Valley, or Badger Pass. Maybe up higway 50 to Sierra at Tahoe. Of course these are not simple drives so maybe it's worth going further and up I-80 to Boreal or Sugar Bowl.

Ski school's probably won't make a difference. If you want ask and I can PM you instructions on how to ski.

Happy Sunday!! Work wasn't horrible, but it wasn't fantastic either. I was in the worst of moods leading up to it and kind of having a panic attack. Sigh. I did still make it home 45 minutes early though. So this is a plus. I'm munching on some food and waiting for my PJ's in the dryer than I am off for what I hope is more then 2 1/2 hours of sleep this week.

So for learning I'm going to have to rent/borrow and most likely wait till Little Monkey is older (it's not like there's a seat on my skies for him to rest). Would you happen to know the going rate for lessons? rentals?

For rentals it will be between $20 and $40 a day. It can varie a lot. Usually a big sports store is cheaper than at the hill. Friend that have rented to go with me usually go to our Sports Authority and it's about $25.

Little Monkey is just under 4' and just turned 3. Thanks for all your help. We were planning on going to Kirkwood next weekend, just to play in the snow. While visiting my mom in the Trinity mountains over New Years, they both had a blast building snow men and making angels. I wanted to take them to the snow one more time before it melted. The whole family learning to ski sounded like a good idea in theory, but it looks like it's going to cost a small fortune.
