I know shoulder pads are back but last night we were at an event & some women were wearing monster should pads!

I have to admit, I like a shoulder pad.........
Just hope we don't jump right into Dynasty;)

Are you wearing shoulder pads yet? Will you?

Heck no.

They were ugly then, they're still ugly. We don't need to have broad shoulders to be powerful.

I was a kid in the 80s if that explains it.

No, but even when they were popular the first time, I cut shoulder pads out of my clothes. I have broad shoulders to begin with--if I add shoulder pads to that, I look like a linebacker. :lmao:

Since I have NO shoulders they have never been OUT for me. I wear soft normal ones daily and have been fooling people with them for years!! They actually balance me out since I have big hips! :goodvibes

Yep, I'm with Linebacker Amy; I couldn't wear shoulder pads because I wouldn't fit through most doors...

Exactly what I was going to write, lol. 5'2" with broad shoulders... I look ridiculous adding anything more up there.

The 80s clothing fads should really be placed into a time capsule to never be opened ever again.

Some of the things I see people wearing--I almost want to say that it didn't look good the first time around (even if I was guilty of wearing it.)

I had shoulder pad issues as well..I'm petite height that looks like two different body styles got put together and pads more often than not--needed to come out.

God no, I'll never wear them. Never wore them when they were in originally, either, mainly because I was a swimmer and had broad shoulders anyway; with shoulder pads, I'd have looked like a defensive lineman.

I didn't wear them then, and I won't wear them now...just not flattering on me. BUT I'm glad they're back because I love the 80s glam styles!

Another linebacker here; my shoulders are so broad that I need XL in tops (when the rest of me is a medium)! I have an old tweed blazer of my grandfather's, men's size 42, and it fits me perfectly in the shoulders. So no padding for me.

I'm trying to find clothing suitable for wearing to a professional job - my last one, you could wear whatever, so I always wore jeans and sweaters. Now I need a suit and it's virtually impossible to find a jacket without shoulder pads, which are sewn in between the jacket and the lining. I don't have the patience or the skills to take it apart and get the padding out, so I just don't buy it.

I was at Macy's a couple of weeks ago trying on dresses for an upcoming wedding. I was shocked to see shoulder pads are back! No way will I be wearing them again!

Shoulder pads are good for me because I have non-existent shoulders. They even me out ;)

I like a subdued shoulder pad...it makes clothing "hang" better on me. Now when I say subdued, that doesn't mean the linebacker ones that they used to wear on Dynasty.

:thumbsup2 Exactly! I am not a petite girl to begin with. I do not need them!

I don't care if they are back in style very few people looked good wearing them the first time around, even then they made a alot of women look like fire hydrants.
