Hello my name is Jennifer and I am a DVC addict

:grouphug: I am a DVC and a DIS addict... isn't it great?!?!

I just finished with nursing school and I am currently waiting to take the NCLEX. Disney is one of the few things that keeps me sane. Actually, I am a pretty happy-go-lucky person so I am always ready to "assault" (I mean that in a good way) someone with my enthusiasm for all things Disney! My DH and kids are slowly but surely becoming addicts as well! ;)

Good luck on the NCLEX! Nursing fuels my DVC/DCL addiction because with the nursing shortage, I can always pick up an extra shift here and there to pay for something "special." I pay for our trips solely on occasional incentive shifts that I put in the bank--so trips never come out of our regular budget! It's great! Welcome to the ranks! Nursing is a great career! :yay:

**everybody now all in chorus**

Hi Jennifer!!!

My name is Heather and I am a new OKW owner and our first trip is in Nov. I am planning on touring a Kidana unit with DBF and hoping it will rope him into adding on while we are there! :woohoo:

Is it sad that I already have the next contract on my mind before even using the first one? :rotfl:

Good luck on the NCLEX!!! I've been a nurse for 17 yrs and went back to school last Aug to get my BSN. Really glad I don't have to take boards again. I was the last class to take written boards here before it went to all :surfweb:.

We joined DVC on April 1st this year (AKV) and immediately booked our upcoming Dec. trip (no kids):santa:, and starting planning a 2012 sweet sixteen trip for oldest DD. Planning the trip is 1/2 the fun of going to WDW and we (DH and I) also like to help our friends plan out their trips. We don't go as far as making ADR's for them but we try to give them all the advice they need to do it themselves. I actually think it overwhelms them to find out how much info we have.

Everyone in our family and circle of friends think that we're crazy for spending so much time at WDW. We often get the "Didn't you just go to WDW" and "Don't you ever do anything other than WDW" but it makes both DH and I happy:rolleyes1. Like someone else posted, it's our crack:scared1:. There sure are lots and lots of worse things that we could be addicted to, but I've never heard of a WDW addiction killing innocent people. :hippie:. Don't tell anybody but DH is actually worse than I am. Shhhhhh:ssst:

Hi, Jennifer!! I'm so right there with you... I also think the planning is half the fun.

Oh - and GO BUCKS!!!

I realized this tonight and I'm ok with it! I used to try to hide my addiction, but NO LONGER!

I work part-time as a nurse, I'm a part-time graduate student, and a full-time wife and mother. I love all things Disney and especially DVC and DCL. I'm always looking to plan our next vacation to WDW. I have our trips mapped out for the next 3 years. My husband thinks I'm a nut, but this is what I do and it makes me happy.

Anyone else with me? :cool1:

Hello Jennifer! I am also Jennifer and a fellow Disney Freak:dance3: or so my DH thinks ( he is not following far behind ) . Very nice to meet you:thumbsup2

I even love planning OTHER PEOPLE'S trips to WDW. There is something so satisfying about making ADR's...

Jennifer I love that you say you plan other people's trips to WDW. I have two friends who give me their days and preferences and let me plan away. I love it, spending as many hours planning their trip as I would our own. It helps to calm that Disney bug when I know our next trip isn't around the corner. It is good to know there are more out there just like me:yay:

My signiture says it all... DW calls me a Disney NUT! I once made DVC reservations while on the Magic Carpet ride in MK for our next trip. LOL

Look under the monorail beam.

Add me to the list of DVC addicts (even though my name isn't Jennifer).

Bought our first contract just over a year ago, and have already added on twice, the latest last week, 130 points at BLT.

Everyone I know is amazed as to how much I plan our WDW trips. In a 4 floor office, I get calls almost every week asking for WDW trip advice.

Gosh, there sure are a lot of us Jennifers (must've all been born in the 70's;))
Oh yeah, and a lot of DVC addicts too:rotfl:

I to am addicted to all things Disney!! I am always on the Dis Board and my husband thinks I'm nuts too! :)

Considering this has been a crazy, hectic day and this is the second time I've managed to log onto Dis, I am in the same boat. We are new members - bought resale contract 2 months ago - so I'm still on my DVC high! Hoping it lasts a long, long time!:goodvibes

Hi Jennifer, my name is Denise and I too am a Disney addict!:cool1:
Been to Disney every year for the past 15 years and finally joined dvc! The beauty of joining for me is that every year we would go to Disney with our 3 DD's now I have points to use (or I will lose them) and in May I went to OKW for 6 nights with 2 friends, DD daughter (graduating HS) is going to BWV 7 nights with 3 friends on our points, planned a Dec trip (1st time ever during holiday decoration time) for DH birthday with our BFF's and finally our annual trip with DD's in Feb. 2011. We joined in Feb,(BLT and GCV) did an add on resale (SSR) and got all 2009 points with all 3 contracts!
Now I feel like I have an excuse to keep going back even though 2 DD's are off to college and we are getting closer to all having different schedules. Thank goodness DH loves Disney as much as I do!

On our way home RIGNT NOW [10:24pm EDT] from two nights and three days at WDW. We stayed at BWV with a BW view. We'll have a TR in a few days. Check our Website for updates.

Hi my name is Angela and I'm a DVC and DIS addict! :goodvibes It's wonderful to be in such great company!

We're West Coasters so we spend more time at DLR than WDW so I don't have quite as much planning to do for those trips. We've been members since 2005 and love it.
