Yeah, I guess that must be part of it. I was just thinking since the US postal price was $3 that my cost wouldn't have been any more than $10. It was $16 just for shipping.

Yeah, over the last few weeks everything has gone way up. It's crazy. I do not believe that theirs prices are going up for them as quickly as they are for us. Then when the price of gas goes down those prices don't.

I am out of the door soon to take my kids and Loren's best friend to another concert. This one is free except for my gas cost, which I already pain for on Thursday so that's not so bad.

How did you guess? Yes, we are headed towards Sacramento again, it is actually in the outskirts of Sacramento. It is an artist they like and he is preaching and performing. I am tempted to attend because I enjoy his music and I really like him. It is Aaron Gillespie from The Almost in case Tessa is familiar with the band.

Had a great brunch yesterday for my friend's 40th birthday. We had mimosas and there was a caterer who made crepes to order. YUM. She also had a tarot card reader and a handwriting analysis. I never got around to the tarot card but I did do the handwriting thing. I kind of think people who do that stuff just have a natural ability to read people and that's where they get ideas, not so much from the cards or handwriting It was fun though

I spent the rest of day snuggling with DD7 on the couch. The weather outside was frightful Today is a bit better. We're mulling over taking DD7 to "Mars Needs Moms" later this afternoon but not totally sure yet.

The party sounds fun. I think you are right about them being able to read people. The weather has been frightful hasn't it? The wind last night was awful. I know someone who lost part of their roof and someone else who had a tree fall on their house. Scary stuff.

I am okay. I am getting ready to go to take all three of my kids and my sons best friend to Rocklin for another concert. They have another one on April 1 that they are going to and I am drawing the line there for a while. I get tired of trying to find things to do while they are in their concerts.

You mean you don't want to attend the concert? I took the girls to see the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift a couple of years back (oh, and Miley Cyrus too ) I'm kind of over that for awhile

Right now pretty good. DH is home, and DD7 has entertainment. I think I might snooze on the couch for a bit

They aren't expensive to look after and don't take that much effort. And they are just so cute. I was wondering at first if this was a good time to be getting another pet, but a hamster isn't gonna hurt anything, is it?

When your little one gets somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-8 years old...there will be multiple requests for some sort of rodent pet guaranteed LOL
Over the years we have had them all, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, Hampsters (dwarf, regular & teddy bear for us) and now Chinchillas. I am uploading to photobucket so I can share those baby chinchilla pics but it is really slow today! Maybe not the best time for a new pet you are about to be a VERY busy girl...but if you don't get it now, fear not, it is in your future when you have kids!

Maybe you are right. We will almost definitely end up with hamsters in a few years. They are just so cute, that it's tempting. Maybe we will at least wait until after the baby is born to see if we have any kind of time for one. I would feel bad if we had to give him up because we didn't have the time.

Pet stores are dangerous things...I know everybody there looks like they want to go home with you...but I would advise waiting at least until the baby gets into a good sleep pattern and you all adjust to being a family..just a day or two of being too tired to clean a hampster cage will be a smelly mess.
