Well I cleaned. I swept, vacuumed then mopped the entire main floor of my house. Now I'm spent....

I finished my taxes. I'm going to mail them out with my next pay check though. Mady payments on a couple other things, did a little laundry ... Now to decide what to do with the rest of my day!

I am trying to figure out what to do too. I ended up having to borrow money from my Dad, which I really didn't want to do, but bills need to be paid. It's also Dillon's birthday on Friday, and I wanted to get him at least a little something. I feel so bad not being able to. So I am hoping to get him at least a little something if I have some money left over.

DH was fine with it. I just got some stuff done around the house. Time flies by and now it's almost time to pick up DD :-o

Tania, I'm sorry you had to make that choice, it's a hard one to make. I probably would have made the same one you did and just not gone.

Taxes......I liked my taxes this year!! I got a HUGE refund!!!! Because I only worked half the year so I got all the exemptions for the kids! It was a nice fat refund, I paid off 2 bills in full, took the girls shopping, and I still have a bunch left! That was nice after the crappy year of job searching I've had! I'm hoping to save the rest for vacation but we will see.......
Andrea, I hope Dillon has a great bday! I know how it feels to have to borrow $$, it's never fun. I hope things get better for you.

I went to OSH, looking for seeds or plantings of Armenian Cucumbers to put in the garden...well I didn't find any but I did get a new pot for my last tomato plant! We have 4 varieties of tomatoes this year!! I'm excited to get them off the plants! I LOVE fresh 'maters, they are the best! Then Micah sent me a text and said he found Armenian Cucumber seeds!!!! So YAY!!!! Now I'll have regular cukes, Armenian and Lemon! All my favorites!! I didn't do any planting tho, still need to get the last tomatoes and the lily bulbs planted, but it's wet and nasty out today so I'm not gonna do it. I'll wait for tomorrow and hope it's nicer, if it's not nice by Thursday tho I'll bite the bullet and garden in the wet weather. lol Then I came home to my Zoya polish order!!! LOVE Zoya polish!!!! I also got a small package from Tania! YAY! Thank You so much!!!!!!! And now I'm home, waiting for Cass to let me know she's ready to be picked up. I still need to go to Raley's and do the volunteer thing at her band table tonight but otherwise my day is mostly complete.

Does anyone use Turbo Tax? I do. I believe it is a good site to use.

Good for everyone that has not only received a refund, but a nice one at that!

Pixie, that is nice that you do gardening. It can be a very nice, relaxing way to spend time and it makes one's garden look very nice too. And it makes the birds and the bees happy too.

Gisele, generally speaking no, I don't. My taxes are pretty basic and don't require much I don't have to do itemized deductions and all that and I'm still claimed as a dependant anyway. I generally do them on my own. This year I have been lazy and I did the free Federal through TT but I'm not paying to do my State. No way, no how.

I know the feeling. T T charges almost $30.00 to complete your State tax return. It is annoying. They will allow you to do it through them, and e-file, but..... you have to pay more from what you should have to, in my opinion.

Yeah, I think the State was like $27.99 or some crazy stuff like that. No thank you, although I do like that they'll do a simple Federal for free. I have that all printed out and ready to mail in. I'll just do the State on my own. I don't e-file though. I much prefer to mail out checks. But I just love to write checks in the first place, which most people I know find odd.

Thanks Michele, I'll take a look tomorrow. It'll be no biggee if I can't. That form takes me 5 minutes top to fill out every year. It actually takes longer with Turbo Tax But at least then I really, really don't have to think. And I need to remind myself to change my withholding on my W-4 when I'm at work on Friday.
