Hmm thats interesting. Did you buy your e-reader from them? And if so and they are the same company I wonder if we can trade books.

I didn't buy it from them, but they do have their own kind. I think they are called Kobo's or something like that.

Then I am inclined to believe that Chapters is owned by Borders. Borders sell the Kobo here.

Just dropping in for a minute or two. I should actually try and get to sleep before midnight tonight since I have work at 6a.

:wave2: Went well enough. I've still been a little stressed over everything that happened last night with my sister so I had a hard time concentrating on it, but I'm sure I passed.

Got home in time to have a little conversation with my aunt/uncle/cousin before they had to leave. Bummed I missed out on one of the funnest nights of the year in our household though.

Wikipedia said that Indigo Books is what owns Chapters and they bought them in order to compete with Barns and Noble and Borders. So I guess they aren't owned by the same company, but it sure sounds like that are.

Sorry you had to miss the fun. I am bummed because I was too ill to make our annual corn beef brisket. Maybe I will make one over the weekend.

Hmm that's interesting. Well, Borders here filed for bankruptcy and is closing several stores and Barnes and Noble's staying afloat because of the Nook in a big part.

Huh. Not ours. Ours only has the Sony e-reader.

The one in Vacaville has about 4 different ones and Kobo is the one they push the most. Maybe it depends on the manager. It did just sell the Sony but that changed around six months or so ago.

Yeah, I was there the other day with my gift card looking to buy something (decided to wait until Mini Shopaholic comes out in paperback) and ours is still strictly selling the Sony unless I am absolutely blind.

I have never had Brisket. In fact I had never heard of it until Big Bang Theory, lol. Is it good?

That's weird about the book stores. They kind of seem like they are all connected in some way. But I guess how can you really make book stores that much different from each other?

No, I doubt that you are. The reason I know they have so many different ones at our store is they tried to sell one to me. Silly fools. They don't have them all out on the floor on display. I saw the others on the bookshelves behind the desk. Makes no sense, I think things sell better where the customer can see them.

A brisket is just like a roast it is just a different cut.

To me all the bookstores look the same. I prefer Borders as a general, but I liked the Nook better.

I bought my Sony one at Best Buy a little after New Years. They had a sale on them and I got $50 off, plus a free cover for it. I love it. It's all pink and purrrdy.

My cover has a passage from Alice in Wonderland. I love have a cover, and I got the best book lights at Costco a couple of weeks ago. They are great.

Mmmm, a roast sounds good. My favourite. With mashed potatoes of course. Real ones. I can't have a roast now though, lol. It's almost midnight. :sad2:

It does sound good, only I don't think I will mash them. I think I will probably steam them.

And this is the cover I got.

I would love to find a Disney one, that would be sweet! I should see if I can't find any.

I am going to bed. It is almost eleven and 5:45am comes too early.

Goodnight.
