Hi everyone.. I'm planning an extended family vacation to WDW in November 2009 and figured now was the time to start gathering my info.. This place is fantastic.. tons of info.

I was on here a few years ago to get advice re: a weekend trip in January 2006 (DH ran the marathon) and now I'm back.

I seem to be having problems posting on the Forum for planning advice, so I figured I'd try this one out to see if it takes. Don't know what went wrong because I think I'm fully registered (at least it tells me I am at the bottom) .

Well, just wanted to say 'hi' and test this out. (I probably forgot to hit submit the last time)

Anyone going to the What Will You Celebrate Tour thats coming to Providence - Burnside Park tomorrow? I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to bring my little ones out, find a parking spot, etc. for this. The only thing that they may be interested in is getting the mickey balloon.

I just googled this and read that it was cancelled for Providence.

I feel so bad, when I went on-line this morning and googled the Celebration to find out the time, and the site I found said it was cancelled, so I posted that info in response to a request about it.

I just went to Prov. City Hall on business and the Disney people were across the street at Kennedy Plaza handing out balloons. It was empty! I got several balloons for my kids and told them about the posting on-line. They had to close up the computers because it was starting to rain before we got to register.

But now I feel awful if anyone cancelled their plans to head down there because of what I said. I am so sorry about the bad info. I should have known better then to trust the info posted on a rival board to DisBoards.

I posted this with the other thread, too, but I'll say it again- don't worry about the misinformation. You meant well, and I was grateful that you may have saved me the trip out (and the gas, too ) It's too bad that the event did happen, but honestly, I don't think I missed much. I spoke with someone that went and it was basically a chance to sign up for giveaways, like a free trip (which you can do on-line). Other than that, they had the free balloons.

If you are going in October, DON'T miss the Halloween party. It is SOOOOO worth the extra money. I've heard its way better than the Christmas party. I've never been at Christmas & are planning our next trip for then. PM me if you have any suggestions.

We went to the MVMCP last year and it was okay but I think the boys would love the Halloween party so we will definately be going to that! I love the decorations all over for the holidays so it will be nice for us to see something different and see the fall decorations!!
