Glad to have you here on the DIS!!

In exactly one week from right now, we'll be checking in to WL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

joins single digit dance! :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

We will be there. I think that would be one meet where dh didn't think I was nuts for meeting up with a bunch of strangers.

Thanks for the offer. Do you think a 16/17 yo boy would enjoy the DCL? How about a 9/10 yo girl? What part of the ship is best to stay at?

AK?

funny you say that the DH used to hate how i'd have to stop our vacation to run over at a certain time to meet a stranger for ice cream, now it's expected and in fact a few times he's asked me if we are meeting any of my friends this year....course it's always a YES! LOL

I hated Boma at the AKL it was a waste of time to trek all the way out there and the food was SO SO bad, we went cuz everyone raves about it but i found it  :scared:

As far as the cruise honestly I don't think the older one would "love" it unless you threw in some killer excursions we did this one and it was the bomb!

Your daughter on the other hand will love it and so will you when she runs to meet her friends at the kids club and you can hit the spa and adult pool!! ;)

amen brother & sisters testify!

Way to raise those kids right!!!!!

Funny story: A few years ago, my daughter was riding in the car with my parents one evening on the way to dinner. My mom said to DD, "Oh, look at that sunset! It is so pretty and orange, isn't it?". To which my daughter replied, "Uh, Nana, we don't like orange. That's the OSU and Texas color, remember?" I was so proud!!

Here we are at the Big 12 championship(Which I choose to think of as the last game of the season.:rolleyes1 ).

Ah it is so good to see everyone is raising their kids right!

My oldest ds was a great football player and had dreams of playing college ball. I like to think he could have gone places. Unfortunately he was one of those that played with no regard to what he was doing to his body and after three sholder surgeries, a dislocated elbow and a trip to the emergency room for a massive concusion he had to give up playing.

Well, before all the injuries he was telling me he had decided to go play football for Texas, really trying to get my goat. I turned to him and seriously said that was okay, I guess I could route for him in all of his games except OU. He looked at me with the biggest look of shock on his face, said "what'?. I proceeded to tell him that I had loved OU much longer than I had loved him and that was just the way it was.

Star - thanks for the info. I think his biggest thrill would be to just be able to sleep in and get out with kids his age when he feels like doing something. Of course he would love to snorkle and do lots of the other excursions. But you are right about Ally, she would love being able to hit that kids club and leave us behind.

:lmao: That's too funny.

DS has already decided he wants to play football (he's 4). We got to take a tour of their facility and it just made his day.

He is so cute! Our future qb maybe?????

My son had a similar orange story... when he was in kindergarten the teacher put them in stations you guessed it by color. When he realized this he promptly told the teacher he was allergic to orange. She being an OSU grad was not amused but gave him credit for creativity and moved him to purple.

My favorite of all time was when he was at church and it was move up day from 2 year olds to 3 year olds the new teacher asked G his name he promptly told her Bob. She called him bob and my nephew (same age)jason for the whole month.

I love it!!!!!!

Hey, I grew up in OK, then joined the navy and after I got out ended up moving to TN! I grew up in Choctaw and the Mid/Del area and from what I see (unless I missed a post) I'm the only O State fan here! Oh well, it'll just be like home, everyone in my family except my Dad, sister, brother, myself, and now my cousin's husband are OU fans! LOL

I think they have a remedy for that sickness you have. I'll look some info up on it for you if you would like.

Just kidding! Welcome to our little group.

Have a great day everyone.

LOL I don't consider it a sickness but thanks for the offer! At least I'm not a Longhorn fan! :scared:

Thanks for the welcome, I've been a member for a long time but mostly I just lurk. I will be planning my first WDW trip for this Oct so will definitely be on here more often!

I just love reading about Sooner Kid Stories.

I have 2:

My oldest was in K at the time and we were living in McKinney TX. They were making a Fall Tree Art project and Brooks was putting Red, yellow and brown leaves on his tree. The teacher asked him to put some Orange on his tree and she looked at him and said "Do you want me to get sick or what?"....Then went on to explain that only bad things happened in orange....LOL

The next one was driving home from an OU game from Norman to McKinney we stopped in Gainesville for for food. At a stoplight a Major BIKER DUDE if you know what I mean had a longhorn tattooed on his arm. The oldest who is 5 at the time rolls down his window flashes the horns down sign and yells TEXAS SUCKS! YIKES....We got out their really fast if ya know what I mean.

I was lucky enough to be at the world during our last Sooner debacle so the pain was a little easier to take if you mean what i know.

Great story about my son and the Sooners after moving to a new neighborhood last summer my son was getting to know alot of the new kids an we were eating dinner one night and asking about all his new friends and he told us one the boys he had gotten to know came from a mixed family, i winced expecting the worse then exclaimed that the boys mother was for OSU and the Dad was for Ou, needless to say me and my wife got quite a laugh. just wanted to say hey to everybody we are planning are next trip this fall in hopes they will offer free dining once again. Everyone have a great day and BOOMER SOONER!!!!!!!
