We are taking our first Disney trip this year in October. We will be there celebrating our daughter's 5th birthday so we have a bunch of birthday Disney plans. I've locked in a CRT reservation for lunch(hoping to catch a dinner reservation but this works for now), a Chef Mickey's breakfast, Bibbiddi Bobbidi boutique, and the Halloween party. So I feel I've done extremely well so far and we will be there for a week so we can spread things out and try not to rush. If you have any suggestions for a 5 year old princess that we should do there I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks and have a blessed day!

Greetings from another DIS North AL member. We took our first trip in 2011 with our almost 5 year old daughter. Perfect age I believe for their first visit. One thing we did and it worked out great was this. On the Bibbiddi Bobbidi boutique we booked the earliest appointment at the Magic Kingdom as possible. This ended up being amazing because we got into the park before it opened. We walked Main Street almost alone. Plus doing it this early got it out of the way and didn't take up any park time. Plus your daughter will be dressed all day as a Princess and have everyone treat her extra special.

Thanks for the advice! Our Bibbiddi Bobbiddi Boutique reservation is in the evening. We want one in the morning so I'm hoping there is a cancellation on one of the days we are there, but that means calling pretty much everyday. One way or another we will hopefully make it happen.

Welcome from Birmingham! Hope you're trip is amazing. The Halloween party is so much fun! Your kids will love it. One idea is you could use Disney Floral and Gifts to have a little birthday surprise waiting for her in your room when you arrive. My boyfriend at the time did this for me on a trip and there were flowers and snacks and mickey ears with my name on them, etc all in our room when we got there. It was such a neat surprise! I've seen so many cute kids birthday things available. If she is familiar with the Winnie the Pooh characters at all (or could become familiar before your trip), then Crystal Palace is fun for breakfast, or any meal really. Be sure to get her a birthday pin and have her wear it the whole trip. I went for my birthday a couple of years ago and wore the pin and I got several free cupcakes during our trip, and was told "Happy Birthday" by hundreds of people (or so it seemed!). There is also a way to call a certain number from your room phone and have a character...(I think it's Goofy?) sing Happy Birthday to her! If you're going to Epcot, maybe try a breakfast reservation at Akershus. I'm trying it out in July for the first time. It's mostly princesses.

Happy planning! :)

Thank you very much for the info! This will help make it a special trip!
