I finally joined after an entire year reading on this board. WOW is it ever contagious!
Has anyone found any great car rental rates?

Welcome to the DIS.

I used National in October and got a fantastic rate ($203 US including tax for 9 days for a Full Size car). For our trip next March, the best rate I've found so far is with Dollar ($212 US including tax for 7 days for an Intermediate ). Go to Expedia...see what they come up with, then go to the individual sites of the rental companies with the best deals. Also, keep your eye on Mousesavers for Car Rental codes. Booking a car doesn't cost anything so I just keep booking until I get the deal I want.

When I need a car rental it's either National or Alamo that I check.

Have you signed up for their email notification? Have you checked out mousesavers for tips and codes?

Hi & Welcome!
I just finished booking a car 10 minutes ago for our trip next week.
I book with expedia.com because it turned out to be a better
price than expedia.ca. I paid a total $362.07 US for 20 days.
I live in B.C so I don't need extra insurance if I have ROADSTAR PLUS.
I was going to have Happy Limo pick us up and surprise the kids
except we are staying at PFB Universal, Poly, and then BWV so
it makes sense to be able to move ourselves around.
I want to know if anyone has been to the beach and which one?
It's our third trip in the past 5 years without going to a beach.
Can anyone help?

I went to Cocoa Beach in 1999, 2 days before a huge hurricane hit. Now, I have to say that I found the beach to be extremely dirty and the sand incredibly rough. There were cigarettes and garbage everywhere. Unfortunately, it was so windy and cloudy that I do not believe that I gave the beach a fair chance. The weather was too horrible and we were just getting over food poisoning.
