I am about to plan my first time to Disneyland around Christmas time!! Is it worth it??? I am planning to go beginning of Dec. Will the decorations be up already? I really want to go see the lights and everything. But since I already went this year and I just want it to be worth going again!! I know it will be busy and everything. Please help!!

I am about to plan my first time to Disneyland around Christmas time!! Is it worth it??? I went in April to Disneyland, but just before the 60th Anniversary celebrations began, so I also wish to see that. I want to know if it's going to be as amazing as I am imagining Christmas at Disney is, I know it will be busy and everything. I am planning to go beginning of Dec. Yes, the decorations will be up in December. I believe the week after Thanksgiving isn't too bad, crowd wise. It is definitely worth it to visit Disneyland during this time! It's my favorite time of year!

The parks at DLR are wonderfully decorated for Christmas, and the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay is awesome!

Will move your post to Board where you receive much more information. Thanks Danny PS Will leave a redirect

I just wanted to welcome you to our forums! :welcome: Also, I merged your two threads together, as it seemed like they were asking the same thing.

If you ask me -- and most people here on the Disneyland forums might say I am a bit biased ;) -- Disneyland is absolutely worth it during the holiday season. Not just Disneyland park, but the entire resort including the 3 hotels, Downtown Disney and, of course, California Adventure. If you love Disney, if you love Christmas and all of the wonderful things that go along with the season (decorations, lights, treats, music, etc.), you should love Disneyland Resort during the holidays. It's fantastic. I also love to go in early December. Both the parks and the hotels are in full holiday swing by that time.

As lvdis suggested and linked above, come and join us in the Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread if you have time. You don't have to read the entire thread, but if you skim down the posts on page 1 you will get an idea of what to expect for the season, although some things may be different this year due to the focus on the 60th anniversary. I cover everything from holiday foods, to holiday merchandise, to the 3 hotels during the holidays, to where to find Santa Claus, etc. Feel free to jump in and ask questions about anything that catches your attention.

We just started our 5th Annual Theme Week Countdown in the Superthread, and each week (up until early November) I will introduce a new Disneyland Resort holiday theme. Everyone who has photos to contribute for the theme will post them, and they get an entry into a random draw to win a Disney gift card at the end of the Countdown. The very last theme of the Countdown (on November 2nd) will be a theme that anyone can participate in, even if they have not been to Disneyland for the holidays. As long as you have any kind of holiday photo, you can post it and be entered into the random draw as well.

In the meantime, if you'd like to follow along with our Theme Week Countdown from now through early November to see lots of photos of the decorations and holiday highlights, here is the starting post for this week's theme (which is Christmas Trees, Wreaths & Holiday Horticulture [Holiday Flowers and Plants]) - http://www.disboards.com/threads/di...-2015-has-begun.3358217/page-42#post-54212181. If you follow from that point forward, you will see everyone's photo contributions. I will introduce the second theme on Monday, 8/17.
