Hello everyone :)

I wanted to introduce myself (sorry if its not the right place :confused3 )

Im Lyndsey im 28 and from Northamptonshire, Ive been DLPR a few times i went on my latest visit in oct this yr with my friend. Loved it, was my first time back for years.
I wrote a little report a while ago, need to add some pics to it :) )

Im planning to take my 1 year old boy (partner to of course :lmao: ) in may this year, im so excited!! i cant wait to go again with my little family.

when i went DLP few years ago, my brother was the one who sorted everthing out ie hotel etc, meals. i was just in the backround soaking up the disney.
Sooo when i went in oct, i had to sort everything out myself for me and my friend (which i didnt do to well) Hotel and travel was fine, but when it came to having meals at night in the villiage or in the hotel was a nightmare i couldnt get anywhere (was not at all organized :confused3 ). we had no look getting in the places we wanted like the rain forest cafe. We tried 2 nights for a meal in the hotel but no luck again:confused3, i noticed people in queue's with white passes or discounts something like that while queing for there meals where did they get them from?? lol so we just ended up snacking during the day.

When i go in may, i want it to be perfect! i want to be able to have nice meals, (any discounts would be a bonus) I just dont know how to sort it all out? where do you get your discounts from, what discounts are available? where i look for them?
same with booking meals, do i go to each restaurant first thing and book for the night? or can you do it through your Hotel?)

any help would be great :) even though ive been DLP im still a DLP virgin when it comes to organizing:rotfl:
thank you

ps i love reading everyones trips, think you will be seeing more of me around here! i cant stay away :dance3:

Hi Lyndsey!! :)

Meal wise - if you go at a busy time, your best bet is to make advance dinner reservations (ADRs) by calling up in advance. You can do this 60 days out, although with May it should be too busy.

The white slips people had were from if you make a booking at the restaurant or in City Hall. If you book by phone you jsut turn up and say your name. :)

For my trip in 2 weeks (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) as I know it shouldnt be too busy, I will make all of my food bookings through city hall on my first or second day. And I think we want to eat at inventions our first day so when we check in at the DLH i'll make a reservation then. :)

Discount wise, keep and eye or here, but the cheapet way to book is mainly by getting you hotel direct with DLRP, either on the website or over the phone to them. And then get our transport separate - how are you planning on travelling?

The DIS is very addictive!! (Just look at our post counts!) by May you'll be super organized!!!! :)

Hello to you both thanks for the welcome:)

Torsie,

Thank you thats a great help! so city hall will be my best bet to book our meals :thumbsup2
so now i know what the white slips were....:lmao:

We are planning to go by Eurostar again, when i went in oct i booked the Hotel through first choice, then we did Eurostar sepratatly online.
I was looking all day yesterday online for the best deals. i was planning to book as you said by the DLPR site, was quite a good price, and the Eurostar was a good price to.
Ive got some serious saving to do! (spending money wise, i want to be able to go and not worry bout how much we have to spend)

Oh i hope you have a Fab-tastic time!!!:yay: I cant wait to read your report:)

Hi Ljay :wave2: The meal vouchers may also be worthwhile for you to have a look at. We find that this allows us to budget much better as the meals are already (mostly) covered dependant by which ones you choose.
