Hello everyone, Would it be safe to let $$ accumulate at Searchcactus?

Our trip isn't until October 2002, so I'd like to just accumulate. But, if there's a chance I could loose that $$ I'll cash out now. How long have they been in business?

Jen-I've been doing searchcactus since last Spring. They have always paid, the checks have always come when they said they would and the checks have never bounced.

You could let the money accumulate in your account, but why would you want to? There is always the chance that the program could close and you could get burned. If you think you lack the will power to sock the money away, cash the check and use the money to buy disney dollars. Then you couldn't be tempted to spend the money for something frivolous-like the rent or for groceries LOL.

They've been in business for quite a while, but that really doesn't mean much when it comes to the rewards programs. They can close shop over night! For that reason, I wouldn't let the money build up, cash out everytime you get $20 and put it in a vacation club account at the bank. That way, YOUR money can be earning intrest for you and not for searchcactus.

I would agree with the other posters. Searchcactus has been very timely in their payouts but why take a chance. I would just take the check as soon as you can.

Thanks for the advise! You're right, I'm afraid something will come up and I'd use the money for something other than vacation. In order not to loose out I'll cash out right now. I would just die if I lost that money. (a big $33 )

LOL! After reading this thread, I went to sc to see if I had anything left in my account. I haven't done any of the rewards since I came back, I just can't get back in the grove again Imagine my shock when I had nearly $30 in the account. I guess it is time to start saving for the next trip LOL!
